2 weeks ago I meet a girl for a lunch date. As we were talking, her cell rings and it is one of her girlfriends. Not sure if it was a planned call but their conversation was goofy and kind of lengthy.  My cell rings, I hit the ignore button. Later during lunch it rang again and I hit the ignore button. It rang a 3rd time and it was work and I had to take the call.  It was a brief call and very obvious work related.  After lunch she sends me a text message thanking me for lunch.  I replied back thank you as well and that I would like to go out with her again. She said no thanks citing that I was stand-offish and rude while I was on my cell phone during lunch.  I was really confused.

Last week I pick up a girl that I have known for forever and take her to the movies. Yes, it is a romantic style date but we have been friends but didn't know each other was interested in that way. 5 minutes after picking her up, she asks me out of no where, "so what do you think?".
I respond "what about?" (while in my mind I thought she was referring to the possibilities of us being an item)
She answers, "about me!"
So now I'm really thinking this is about us being an item and that it is moving way fast and I say to her, "ya, so far I feel good about it".
She is looking at me while I am driving with a strange look on her face and starts laughing. I mean really laughing hard.
She says, "nooooooo!!!, I mean what do you think about me meaning do you think I look pretty tonight?"
At that point I became the Red Iceman because I was very embarassed.  The night ended pretty much the same way it started with her saying to me, "I know you are not attracted to me, its ok".  In my mind I was thanking her for the "out" but damn, if I only knew that when she asked me way back at the beginning of the date "what I thought" was meant as her way of asking me if I thought she looked pretty for me for our date.

Its times like that I enjoy being single and being the blue_iceman001. Damn there are some sexy ladies on here and I haven't been laid in a while.
