In my early hobby days I did lots of research. This was before CL. Nearly all the ROBs and Cash & Dash were from Eros posts. Over the years that morphed into fake info, stolen pix, etc.

Why risk it with ads from a site that houses major bullshit, and never cleans it up?

It is okay to use Eros, but as an experienced hobbyist you need to use it in conjunction with TER,Preferred 411 and Date Check. Also use it with Big Doggie and Avenue X. Then you are doing comprehensive research which would include reading reviews or if you are a provider looking at okays and hearing from other providers on the future dates in question.

trying to gather some facts before Monday ....how many hobbiest use EROS as a site to book dates? How many of you will admit to being scammed at one time or another ......what was the scam  they pulled? How many never use  used EROS and why?  How many use it when traveling to other cities? How many did not even know it was a site for hobbiest ? Providers  do you use EROS?  A base ad only? or both when traveling .....how many would not use it and why please? Provider what percent of your client base come from EROS percent wise? thanks in advance for your help

I want to say at least 30% of my clientele are from Eros. I use Eros when I am home and when I am traveling.

I use only a few sites. And am a member of only 4 sites. have never used or even checkedout Eros. Only because I like the sites I am already on and trust.

I avoid a ladies ads on Eros. If she has multiple ads I will check out her website, P411, or even CV but if she ONLY has an Eros I will normally just move along to someone else. Never found that place very appealing.

I've never booked with anyone through Eros. The pics are great, but if I see someone that interests me, I check them out on TER. I've found their pics are not reliable.

I get a base ad with Eros and I get a lot of great clients from Eros. I honestly do not know my percentage base but I have realized that the clients I get from Eros typically book more then 1 hour. Eros is an advertising board if men get scammed its because they need to do their research not Eros. I think of Eros as an advertising site and P411 & datecheck as a verification site.

I hate to say it, but I must agree with Halfhour, lol. If I want to look at some great pics I go on that website, but the women are rarely real to contact, and too many problems with the ads on that website. I don't want to waste my time looking at 20 ads to find one legit lady. Thanx

Exactly. I know some great ladies with ads on Eros. But as a first stop for seaching - forget it.

but as other hobbyist have stated, it's just the start, then it's time for some research.  There is a small board in LA, that seems to do the best job in keeping the ROBs from posting. Lately, there has been a few complaints about this LA board, but for the most part, a very high % of the providers advertising are legit.

More than enough talent here to wear me and my budget out...

Although, I would consider spending more money with them if they cleaned up their site.

I take some, of the Eros ads, with a big bunch of salt.  In some places, like Vegas and LA, the number of bad/questionable/stolen ads is very high.  Here, in PHX, not so much.  
I have not been scammed, but came close.  Was going to book a lady, in Vegas. Profile said indy, but was agency.  Didn't book.  
I see very reputable providers advertise, on Eros, in various cities.  In some places, Eros is the only sorce for ads.  

I usually check it a couple times a week to see if any visiting girls match what I'm looking for.

If I am interested I will check ter for a history. If there are no reviews I pass.

I do this for cityvibe and backpage as well.

I have toftt many times in the past. Not interested anymore.

Never been scammed, but typically have been with women who didn't look as good as their pics. Muffin tops and non hardbodies are a turn off for my money.

I think eros and cityvibe are the best places to advertise. Cityvibe is best in LA while eros is better in DC. Every city is different.

I do think the banners and more expensive posting options are not worthwhile.  Most guys know what they want and will filter accordingly.  No amount of banners and extra advertising will change my mind.

I'm definitely more wary of backpage these days. Too many obvious scams and fakes.

I look at EROS but always checks for reviews on TER....  No review no go.

what if they have good reviews  on another board?

The only other source that I use is P411

I think not just Eros has misleading ads and fake women but Cityvibe & backpage as well.

If you will not see someone that just has one ad on Eros
I hope you take the same caution with cityvibe & backpage.

but yes there are a lot of fake ads you definately have to do your research.

Eros already allows us to use that t help set ourselves aside.

They're aren't getting another penny from me until they do something about this shit.

* I very rarely use ERos.   Maybe once every two months access to see what is going on.  
* I have never been scammed per se.  Usually very thorough in process.  The closest to being scam was where the Lady had used much older pictures than her current appearance.  She was a sweet gal though.
* Never use with other cities.   Never thought to check though either.

I guess what I should say is that I don't really ever look at ads. Eros CV or any others. I will sometimes look at the weekly ads for TER. I rely a lot of the ladies reviews here then check her profile and then her website. Those places are OK for taking a quick peak at a lady. I really prefer that a lady has a website for me to go over. I get a much better sense of who she is from how she presents herself there, then say if she has a little blurb and some pics. Maybe I do it backwards, but I don't look at the ads then go see if she is reviewed. I look at the reviews first, then I go to her website and see how she presents herself. Hopefully I can get enough info from there to see if we can have a great time.
