however, any loss in the community is an awful loss. I will light a candle for this friend of our community. God rest his lovely soul and my thoughts are with those of you who knew this man.

To those friends of Bob's who have not got the news Bob passed away last night after turning ill a couple days ago. Bob was so excited about making this trip and to those who know him he will surely be missed. A great guy who never had anything bad to say about anyone and loved this community and participated many times over. It seems we are losing way to many friends of late which gives us all puase to reflect.
a true gentleman and it saddens me to hear the news, he will be missed...
My heart goes out to him and his family. He was a great person, always willing to lend a hand, and even takes time to actually talk about things outside this hibby.
I wish him peaceful travel back to a resting place. I will always remember him.
OMG!!!! I am Freaking out! He is the last person I thought we'd loose this soon! He was a Great Guy. He was very close to his daughter and Family too. He would give anyone the shirt off his back if needed. I miss him so much already. Please keep us posted LB.
Jeff called me earlier today with the news. He was a great guy and good company. At least he died on a "great adventure" with good friends....as close as you can come to "dying with your boots on" I guess.....
I am from Seattle, and have never posted on the PHX TER board until this post. I consider many of the posters here as very good friends of mine. I was with Bob in Rio this past week. I left a day earlier than Bob's scheduled flight, and said good bye to him yesterday afternoon prior to catching my flight home. I am stunned and deeply saddened by the loss of my friend. Regarding Hacker's post, I know for certain that Bob was having one of the best weeks of his life down there. I can't remember ever laughing as much as I did this past week with Bob and rocketman while we were together in Rio. I feel honored to have been able to spend his last days with him.
Good bye, Bob. I will miss you.

He was a very genuine and nice guy who contributed a bunch to the hobby.
Happy Trails, Bob-you will be missed.

I had not known Bob long but the times that I did get a chance to spend sometime were great. He was a very genuine person that never seemed to have a badthing to say about anyone. He will be missed. My thoughts go to his family and his friends
I am very sorry to hear this. He was a nice man.
I can't help but wonder if he got sick from the high doses of Viagra and Cialus he told me he was going to take while on his trip? Does anyone have any details?
He couldn't find get satisfaction with the ladies over here so he had to go to Brazil?
Say it ain't so! Truly a "good guy" w/ a good heart, that will find it's way 2 the right place.

some others may have. I always found him to be upbeat and not one to get caught up in much of the drama that comes with this Hobby. He was one of the few that saw this Hobby for what it was and and just tried to enjoy himself. I know he will be missed by many.
I’m walking around in a daze. I got an e-mail today and have been in a daze since. He was an honest to goodness good guy. I really enjoyed any time I ever spent with him.
He will truly be missed.
Life is short.
Don’t forget to tell people you care.

I happened to be in RJ this weekend for other events and got to say a brief hello. He was living a dream for a short week before falling ill.
Desculpe amigo, eu desejei que eu pudesse estar lá com você mais. Seu espírito resta com Deus. Tchau

One of the nicest sweetest men and one of the first ones I ever saw as an independent. How sad for he was always so jolly, and always smiling. That brought a tear to my eye.

I was with the AZCatman in Rio and left him on Saturday afternoon. He had fallen ill on Saturday morning. He had partaken in much activity and drank a lot of booze.
He was taking Cialis but only took 2 and stopped on Thursday because they were not having the desired effect that he wanted. He had not taken any Viagra.
He had started Anti-Biotics Saturday AM and was drinking water and eating crackers to settle his stomach.
We asked him if he wanted to go to the hospital for care but he did not feel that he was that ill.
The AZ Catman was enjoying his time in Rio, but perhaps the Brazilian Flu or just the strain of the heat and too much activity in Rio were too much.
I will miss the AZCatman.....
We will all be less with out him.
This bites, he was a great guy and cool as hell. I did not party with him much but what I did know he was a stand up dude. take care gang
I've been friends with Bob for years and am still in disbelief that he is gone. If anyone could email me that was with him in Rio I would really appreciate it. I'm not part of this community, but God knows I've heard about it for years! Thanks, Tim

I will miss him terribly. I already do! When I started receiving the calls today from friends regarding Bob, I was in total shock. Needless to say, this was not a good day for me and many others. Bob was the nicest of guys, willing to give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, a jovial soul with the wide smile and twinkle in his eye. He saw this hobby for what it is, tried to keep away from the drama, and just plain have fun, which he did and often. He will be missed but not forgotten.
I have been in contact with Bob's family and they are doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances. Please keep them in your prayers and thoughts. Sen. McCain's office has been recruited to assist in the processing of matters in Brazil and in the return of Bob to the states. I and others will keep you informed of arrangements as we learn of them.
Too sad for words at this time, great guy, great friend. I will surely miss him.
Bob was an unbelievably awesome guy who truly cared about you. When I heard the news this morning, I was shocked and saddened. He was one of the few men that didn't fall prey to the drama of the hobby and saw it for what it was, FUN. It is good to hear that at least his last days were full of enjoyment and FUN! I am glad to have known him and will remember him always. In my times of frustration with the drama and politics of this industry, I will remember Bob and, in turn, remember why I am here. So long Bob, I'll be thinking of you. Taylor
I'm sad to hear about Bob's passing. I never knew or met the man, but I pray for him and his family. I've read many of the postings about Bob, and funny thing is he sounds a little like me. I enjoy the so called "hobby", although I don't like to word it that way. I may not attend the gatherings or post regularly on the boards and get involved in some of the discussions. I just enjoy the time I'm able to have with some of the very special ladies here.
God Bless you Bob...it appears you were definately truly Loved....and that's what's important!
Not Fade Away
Thinking of the great times I've shared with Bob, he always made it filled with alot of fun, and laughter, I feel lucky to have met him!
My Sympathy goes to his family, and friends, my thoughts are with you at this time of sorrow!
being a newbie to the board, i obviously never met Bob. After reading every post today, makes me wish I had that opportunity. I'm genuinely sorry for his passing... for his family, for his friends and for me for never getting to meet a man so loved by so many.
I am sorry to hear that
I had the pleasure of meeting him shortly before I moved. He was a great guy. He will be missed![]()

I was a close and dear friend to Bobby. I will always remember him fondly. I have known him about 13 years and I can say I know him pretty well. I will miss him so.
Very sad news. I always said hi to him & chatted a little everytime I saw him at a get together. He was always having fun, always a pleasure to talk to. Great sense of humor. Bob, we miss you.
