The contact was in the past, not after the trouble. I just wondered if anyone else was getting emails and if anyone else thought it might be a phishing expedition by the PoPo.
I dealt w/ Jack personally on a recent trip to Phoenix, after everything had started. Had no problems or issues, so as long as you're sure you're dealing w/ the agency then I wouldn't have any concerns.
I never dealt with them before the problems, though i had contacted them once or twice for questions or seperate issues.
If you still have questions, I would contact them directly and just ask. Never hurts.
Jack is a standup guy and you dont have anything to worry about......

But most hobbiests don't truly understand the realities involved. In the end all pricing is controlled by free market forces...you can't "fix" it...just limit knowledge and information to a small degree.
As a gal becomes more and more established she evolves a client base that provides both appointments and referrals. Back when I was really active I probably steered 3-5 appointments a month to my ATF's just responding to 411 inquiries from known friends in the hobby. In addition to my 4-8 visits a month. Multiply that by even a small number and you can see that a good provider like Piper (very highly recommended BTW) has a "floor" of activity thats set pretty high.
So any new client has a risk-reward ratio that diminishes over time as well as requiring more work. To some degree the current uncertainty works against "getting a deal". Now this is seperate from the bad form involved in trying to work pricing angles....especially if you are an unknown entity to a gal.
I've never had an issue paying "rack rate" if I want to see someone. The real question is if I want to keep on seeing someone and they want to see me. A true ATF relationship goes well beyond $$$ IMO.
So my thoughts are as follows, if your a very occasional player then you simply need to determine your price point and search for value at that rate...or adjust. If your fairly active and have the financial resources then realize that it's up to you to explore the possibilities and let things evolve over time...
Now looking specifically at the site in question you'll see some gals with posted rates and others without (I never try to negotiate a posted rate). No posted rate is an invitation to ask. It's also fine to comment accordingly, anytime I saw a gal I liked and a price I didn't I used to email back a very nice reply (assuming we had a nice conversation) along with a few references.
Invariably once I was referenced things were more comfortable, if I felt the rate was out of line I'd simply explain that I was very interested but the rate exceeded my comfort level...

All have earned excellent reputations. "Mama Rose" (Rose Garden) is also great but I dont know what her current lineup is (Gianna is a doll BTW). As a general rule anything you see on Phoenix 411 is trustworthy (not that everything else is automatically bad).

1) The overall statement is a bit distorted and self serving since it combines unrelated events and activities.
2) RICO is a poorly understood act. Most lawyers dont even really understand it or its applications. None of the actions above have any RICO implications in the absence of organized criminal activity.
3) While the "Boardroom" no longer exists (and hasnt since 2005) as a former member I can attest that it never was interested or capable of "price fixing" or extortion.
4) The demise of the boardroom did create a vacuum and it appears that one or more of the follow up factions may very well have engaged in activities that possibly reached a level that could trigger a RICO investigation in respect to one or more members.
Any provider (agency or independent) who travels for business is violating numerous federal laws and technically faces a minimum 20 yr term if convicted on all counts. Any escort who travels for business is at risk far beyond RICO in my opinion.
The indies were at the head of the actual price fixing scheme in 2005 and threatened to blackball glenn if he allowed lower priced gals to advertise on phx411.
The simple reality is that we have always had a two tier price system with a retail and insiders rate structure. This has, does and will always exist. The free market will always determine pricing over time.
In most of the civilized world prostitution is legal and pimping is not. Many of the gals here who are well known indies now have had nothing but good things to say about various agency owner so its not place to judge the realities.
Paul was an egotistical self centered person who ignored a lot of well ment warnings and we see the inevitable result. Obviously there is a tie in with other illegal activity (My understanding is that the DD operation contributed 411 that led to the recent Tempe meth busts).
The real key here is very very simple. Anyone who was involved and reaped a tangible gain from organized activity designed to control, direct or manipulate business specific to the hobby thru an affiliation with DD and/or PHX411 is at significant risk at this time.
I'm sure it's had a great effect on the market.
