I've talked to a few guys who aren't attending the party Thursday night, and it got me thinking.  Even providers who are generous with their time are still hesitant to schedule "strictly social" time with clients.  (See thread from a few days ago about dating.)

Now we have an event where a lot of our best and most beautiful indies and agency girls will be attending, presumably dressed to kill, and yet some guys aren't showing up?  HUH?!

So, The GP wants to know, are you intimidated by seeing providers in social settings?  What about other hobbyists?

you might be thinking, "who asked him?"  Since I don't play anymore....but I like to post still and can dream a little.

I was invited to one of these events at a Mexican restaurant a while back and I declined. My reason was that I did not want to mingle among other hobbyist. Never know who you may actually bump into.  If I wasn't concerned about public opinion, this sounds like a dynamite event.  Any hobbyist that would not show based on being intimidated by seeing the lovely ladies should think again and attend.  
I just don't like the idea of being either spotted by someone I may know or being pointed out to other hobbyist by whomever.  I think fraternizing with other hobbyist is not my idea of fun.  Who wants to compare notes, I'm kind of the jealous type....jk

I'm really looking forward to being in the presence of really gorgeous women who love sex as much as I do (I hope I'm not being presumptuous).  What a turn-on!!

Good for you!  You know how I feel about these kind of events and besides, why is it a bummer when we can have our own event.....know what I mean?

you don't want to mingle with other hobbyist because you might see someone you know and you think that may compromise you in some way....gee if he sees you and you see him looks to me like a mexican standoff........I have never heard of any hobbyist attending any of the events over the last year and a half having that issue.....

So come on iceman, loosen up and join the fun...you might actually enjoy yourself.....

I will be in town tomorrow afternoon. I am going because there are people I have not seen in a long time that I would love to say hello to. I am getting over my shyness and anxiety and getting out. I was hoping you would do the same since so many people like you and you are so fun to be around. I do understand you not wanting to go but I think you are missing out WE can always have our own event!

I really applaud your thinking and am  looking forward to seeing you there!  I remember that you really enjoyed yourself at that gathering at the Mexican Restaurant awhile back, too!

I am planning to go , however with a little trepidation over being out in the public. I ,too, passed on the Julio G experience , concerned over being seen by either business contacts or clients i have had over the last 20 years of business done in the valley.
