Bailing on a appointment

I just bailed today on an appointment at the last second with a provider with whom I’ve never met when a few houses down from the her incall was a DPS officer sitting in his car. She called as I was driving away to ask if I had found her place when I mentioned the officer outside and she said don’t worry about it I’m not a cop. I told her I wasn’t comfortable and hung up. She called back and left a message that stated she wasn’t a cop and that I should call her back sometime and she would see me at half price. That may be true but I’m never contacting her again.  Now I realize that the chances of it being an actual sting were somewhat remote as LE is usually smarter than to sit almost right on top a doorway of where they are operating, but the potential risk of losing oh say half my stuff, just doesn’t justify the reward.

This is the second time in two months where I left an appointment when I saw a police cruiser near an incall location. The first was at a hotel in its parking lot. Neither of these locations were in bad areas where you would expect a police presence and it just unnerved the crap out of me. While I’m not going to apologize for leaving I wanted to throw this out there and see how others would feel in the same situation. Am I being far to paranoid?

It's your life. You leave if you are uncomfortable. Same advice is true for both clients and providers.

I don't blame you. If the gut feels funny bail out. I am sure providers coming to an outcall situation feel the same way. Given the busts of several summers ago one cannot be careful enough. I admire the ladies that provide an outcall service because they find themselves on foreign ground most of the time just to service us. It's good that you spoke with the provider explaining your problem. We should never forget to treat them with respect and in a manner in which we would want to be treated.

until you get arrested, then you're a fool.  You were totally correct to bail - always trust your gut.  Its not worth it to do otherwise.  I once walked by two different panel vans on my way to an incall - freaked me out that it was an undercover set up.  It wasn't, but it ruined the whole session for me.  As Henry Kissinger once said, "even a paranoid can have enemies."

Phoenix PD is being more active this way, although usually they hide better.

It seems to go in spurts.  A few months ago lots of reports of incall watching on you know where.  One companion reports police car had huge pile of web ads with pictures so they could ID companions.   Big round them up - independent incalls - where they took you to the Church on Central for the "hooker fair" where they offered food, how to escape the terrible profession, gave you a pink purse.  If you sign up for "rehabilitation" you won't get a prostitution charge for your ad saying GFE or worse.  Do not have to even catch you in any act, GFE on website is solicitation of prostitution.  Sometimes reduced to escorting without a license ticket but varies.

In the past they also get guys leaving incalls and intimidating them to confess - will give guy immunity if will testify that he paid for sex with companion.   One incidence guy was member of one of the big 2 referral services. I worked with owner and she was very responsive not knowing of a cop or gal working under cover got registered.  But end results seems to be both innocent just cops stopping guy after incall they were watching.

For months before the Temple bust, squads were around lot, taking down license numbers of parked cars etc.

One Temple gal, pulled over by marked LE as she left parking lot with boyfriend.  She was ID'd and let go. Only to be indicted a few months later for affiliation with a criminal enterprise simply for working there (39 total grand jury felony charges).

The case is ongoing but so far plea deals even for some only workers with no direct evidence against are getting bad pleas worse than DD since most of those were undesignated felonies so can be reduced after the typical 6-12 months or probation.

But most "just workers" in current case plea deals are not guaranteeing no prison time (left to judge) and so far are designated felonies.    Taking a designated felony plea makes you usually a "life felon" unless later can do special procedures.

The current DA and AG seems to be going after cases even worse than DD where all but as I recall 1 gal out of the almost 100 pled guilty to felonies (but some undesignated) and of course the nice photo guy we all loved and some other got prison time.

Am working on trying to suggest various defenses used (including Lawrence vs Texas defense) but with 39 different attorney's no co ordination and of course some gals want to take a different defense approach.

I report weekly or more separately on the Temple case and overall strategies.. you know where....

What makes me suspect is that after that she offered you a discount.  If I was her I would be upset and not want to see you again.  Even though I agree on what you did.
