To give you a little better idea of who they are and where you can see pics of a few of the animals

I don't know if any of you caught this on the news but I just got off the phone with the people at Robin Hood animal rescue in Glendale whom i have worked with in the past doing animal rescue and
they are losing both of their properties to foreclosure and need to place the animals in loving homes asap.

Rob says they have 18 dogs and about 26 cats needing to be adopted as quickly as possible,one property gets auctioned off on Sept 20th the other one on October 5th.

These are awesome people who have put their hearts and all their cash into saving strays and homeless pets and just can't afford to survive anymore.

have they approached the Humaine Society? Im sure that they can get some help. Also, post on Cl and Myspace Classifieds.

Wish I could help, but I already have a zoo. I believe I have my limit. I'll make up fliers and post them around my neighborhood though

Humane is not able to help them they have farmed out a few animals to local groups but alot of the animals were rescued by them from the Euthanasia list at humane and county.
I am heading back home to Phx this weekend and picking out a new friend for my pooch.

have they contacted other rescue groups? There are groups who rescue certain breeds, who might help.

To give you a little better idea of who they are and where you can see pics of a few of the animals

wish we had more notice, but I'll do what I can

Thanks so much
It's greatly appreciated

do you possibly know if they are reducing or eliminating their adoption fee. Since it is a last ditch effort, one would think that they would give them away to good homes. I tried contacting the shelter, but haven't heard back

I spoke with Bob who is the Founder of this rescue - the first location that the animals are housed at will be foreclosed on Oct 5th and the 2nd location will be going up for sale on Oct 20th.

These two individuals have put all their money, their homes and all of their love and energy into saving hundreds of unwanted animals and specific breeds that no-one else will take such as pitbulls, shephards, akitas, rotties, etc.

Bob requested any assistance in such ways as:
* Adoptions
* Foster Homes
* Donations
* Public Attention - publicity/awareness to increase chances of adoptions

Due to Bob and Shelly being laid off and some very serious health issues  - they unfortunately do not even know where they are going to live and any assistance with helping these animals would be the greatest gift anyone could give.

Bob gave me permission to give out his personal cell #:  623-680-1170

Thank you for reading this post and I hope that these animals can get some help and not have to face being euthenized.

Sincerely,
Cassie

Thanks for posting the additional information I have been super busy with my massage partners mom (who is like my own) being in the hospital so have been
offline alot.

But one of the guys has a company that may be able to help them save at least one of the houses and has already contacted them to start working with them yesterday.

This is am important thread to keep going so I don't mind you jumping in and taking it over..but next time  at least speak to me before doing so..its good manners.

this thread didn't belong to one person and it is stupid to think anyone needs to ask before jumping in .

My purpose for the post was ONLY to add information to Leigh's post.

This is ALL ABOUT THE ANIMALS!  It is not about who says what and my post saying contact me was only intended for informational purposes if you didn't understand what I was saying and believe me - my entire life is dedicated to the animals of Arizona so much so that I am working on opening a Vet Hospital within the next couple of years.

So again, people - please focus on the very important matter at hand and that is THE ANIMALS!

Thank you for you love, kindness and opening your hearts and homes to these little guys who keep getting thrown away like trash!

Sincerely,
Cassie

Hey guys

I have helped Sensual Leigh work with this group in the past doing animal rescue and they are losing both of their properties to foreclosure and need to place the animals in loving homes asap.
I am not sure who  "Cassie " is but Leigh has been doing animal rescue in the Valley of the Sun for 20 years and she has worked closely with many of the no kill groups throughout the valley.

Rob the owner of Robin Hood Rescue says they have 18 dogs and about 26 cats needing to be adopted as quickly as possible.
Leigh has a call in to speak with Rob and Shellie as this is being posted to see if they might be willing to offer a discounted adoption fee for members who mention this posting when adopting.

Please contact Rob or Shellie (owners) directly rather than going through someone who has jumped on this thread and knows nothing about what Leigh already has going on here.
