My apologies for responding to some recent matters in this belated fashion. My computer blew its power supply and consequently I am just catching up on things now. As is always the case in our community, there are a variety of stories and opinions about just what happened or is happening. My mail box was full of them. Sometimes it is difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff.

I know Roxanne and would hope that some recent occurrences related to her were nothing more than some simple misunderstandings. As one poster stated under her thread, trashing others is bad for business and is just plain unnecessary and I agree with that. Yes, some out there are more prone to drama than others, both ladies and gentlemen alike, but those who work to unjustly hurt others are eventually discovered and shown for who or what they are. There is plenty of business for every lady who offers a professional service at a decent price and Roxanne is one of those IMHO.

With reference to the ladies group, again, there are a host of opinions and stories. If the purpose of the group is for the gals to share ideas, information, plan social events, watch each other's back's, etc. and is directed towards achieving positive outcomes then I say, "Have at it ladies". I personally know a number of the women involved, all of whom are pretty independent thinkers, and who are strong enough in character to express their opinions and positions which may differ from others in the group. Think we all need to be careful about painting  individuals with a simple, broad, brush-stroke which happens far too often in this community. However, if the intent of the group is more sinister in nature and focusing on things like, price fixing, back stabbing fellow providers or other reputable agencies, black balling gentlemen, spreading gossip, etc., then it will be doomed to failure. As I think we all know by now - there are NO secrets in this community and the vast majority of people here are interested in having fun and doing that in a safe and mutually supportive way.

Although I do not know Roxanne personally I will take your word for the fact that she is a great person and provider.  I wish she would have gone to the source of the problem as opposed to the public boards with her concerns, she would have realized that things were taken way out of context.  I personally would never humor or be a member of a group that had any intent on hurting anybody.  I must say in all honesty it seems that some of those concerned about price fixing are in a group themselves that encourage "price fixing" and it may not be to benefit the provider but rather the hobbyist. Let's be fair about our concerns. How many providers have come on the public boards stating their opinions about that?  It is a free market as many have stated. Jordan Kay and Tina Pink are two great providers that have posted their thoughts on the subject. I was very disappointed to see the majority of people against a group that encourages and gives opportunities to things such as long lasting friendships, marketing ideas, references, dangers and of course girl talk. The accusations that spread because of Roxanne's post ended up hurting those that were supposedly the villans more than her.  A group of great ladies got slammed.  Ideally the goal for the group is to have every "great provider in this state a memember, never to encourage price fixing or be malicious.  Those who have wondered why everybody isn't a member, I must ask you this question "Is every hobbyist a part of your group? I can appreciate the fact that my opinions differ from many others out there.  Things are not always BLACK and WHITE, grey areas are inbetween. I value my business and my clients very much and would never do anything to stand in the way of a potential or existing relationship with them. However, because I am a provider I do not feel that I need to cowtow or stand politically correct with the norm.  These are just my opinions, I appreciate yours as well.

People still have it on their minds and would like to express their thoughts on the subject. I personally agree with you loverboy, the subject should have been over before it started.  This is an open discussion board, even if opinions differ and we all aren't seeing eye to eye, doesn't mean that we cannot discuss it like the civilized grown ups that we are.

I never mentioned anyones names.  The reason for that, along with why I brought it to a public board is if I had done it any other way, I would have compromised the position of the person who told me.  Sorry, but when someone tells me something-it stays with me.

If anyone took what I said personal, well, that's not on me-I spoke generally and spoke the truth.  I was trying to say in the nicest way possible that some people in this town need to shut their mouths because their "good friends" do spread the word.

You're making me out to be the bad guy saying that my post hurt people.  Hey, I put myself out on the line by posting that, not knowing if I was going to be criticized.  It was much to my surprise the number and kind of responses.  BTW the responses on the board were nothing compared to my emails from both ladies and gents who have been hurt by the same people.

Sounds rather hypocritical that you can say I should have not posted on a public board but you can say that on a public board.

First you say the subject should have been over before it started.  Then you say it's an open discussion board for all of our opinions.  So which is it?  Oh, yeah, it's not ok for me to express myself, but for members of your group it's fine.  Not exactly fair dinkum!  Can we all just move on and drop it now?!  

If I hear my name mentioned in the near future, it better be followed by the mention of some hot, steamy bodies slapping together in ecstasy!

Ok so now we can move on.I had a great day at the zoo yesterday riding on paddle boats,watching animals mate,drinking margaritas.It was so peaceful and it was a great way to escape the day.

You're right.  Let's have lunch Roxanne, my treat!  Sorry for getting caught up in the Drama.

Read my orig post.  And I have never spoke anti-provider.  I only responded to a provider using an alias about a review being removed.  If the community got riled up, hey, they must have issues with some individuals.  Not my fault. Give it up already!

When I mentioned "Your private yahoo group (eom)" it was an answer to a question posed to me from my orig post.  Go back and read it!  I was just letting the questioner know where it came from. EOM.  Can we finally drop it please!!!

I find it interesting that your attempting to drop the entire issue back onto Azblondes shoulders when i think the ownership of the problem more rightly belongs to the group that created it in the fist place......
