Good Yom Tov to you and yours as well.

I'm a Gentile and I should be wishing you a happy Rosh Hashanah and I do as well as the many other Ladies & Gents that celebrate this special holiday!

so baby "Happy Holiday" Salute

"L'Chaim"
The custom of saying "LeChaim" when drinking wine is first mentioned in "Machzor Vitri" 80, s.v. "Shnayim."

At one time, they used to give wine to the condemned so that their execution would be less painful for them - (source: "Midrash Tanchuma" Parshat Pekudei 2).

Jews started to say "LeChaim" (which means "to life") before drinking wine to distinguish from this and to emphasize that drinking wine should be for life - (source: "Kol Boh" 25 s.v "U'B'Seudat").

Israel, L'Chaim! (To Life!) Italian / Italy, Cin cin (formal) Salute (informal) ... Toast ir Cheers in Scotland is Slainte Mhath! (Good Health). ...

Thanks..

not all of the Israeli's celebrate Rosh Hashonah...

I think you are confusing Israeli with being Jewish.
Jewish is the religion... like being a Catholic.

Israeli is being a citizen of Israel. Kinda like being an American from America.

Jewish and Israeli are not the same. Not all Israeli's are Jewish.
