Yes, that's why I joined P411 with references from two providers.

Too many scam artists...identity thieves...crooks...and the list goes on.

Someone mentioned in a previous thread how independents were getting quirky and strange emails.  I have never seen so many fake references as I have the last few weeks.  Most don't even respond which means the person does not clear.

Why personal information.  How are we suppose to know you are who you say you are?  Just because you have reviews or whitelist in this town what does that really mean?  If you have references from a provider I trust then I'm good with that.  If your references are body rubs, backpage, etc.  I will pass.  Just my thing.

P411 is a good choice in my opinion.  But it still boils down to "who do you trust".  If I can't get a first and last name on Gentleman that don't have trusted Provider References then we just won't meet.  TVLaw like you have a choice of moving on so do Providers.  My safety and well being is not worth a one hour call  

I realize it's a delicate balance and hopefully both sides can find a happy medium.

Very true. I usually only give name first name. It's too much for me to take if they ask for more. That's why I'm trying to get a P411 account. If they want to know more I give my TER handle. If not than I thank them for their time and move on.

Because I have a very limited number of ladies I see and don't anticipate adding many more, I will rely on my regulars referrals or P411. It seems like there has been an increase in the number of false reviews and increased LE activity, I'll stick with who I know.

I, however refuse to put my safety in any more jeopardy than it already is doing this kind of work.  
We do this everyday with the possibility of getting arrested or attacked, physically ill or possibly abducted or even killed.
We are putting ourselves in a dangerous place so in doing so every possible safety precaution is key to reduce the chances of problems as much as possible.
Most of our clients are physically bigger than we are as well.  The risk a man takes by giving personal information to a "reputable " provider note the first word is very low in comparison to our risk base. We are not likely to fight our way out of a situation , so we better think our way through it to ensure safety first.
So with that said first off join P411 or Date Check. Be active member is small groups or boards. Ter I like and it they call and say they are on there I say email me through there. Az meeting place has a group, those people are all trustworthy.  Other provider references I like provided I know who the provider is and trust her. Beware now of that one method as the cops are asking girls to vouch for them and I don't know anyone who has , but they will keep asking and someone will.  Make sure you know what girl your asking and that you know her or know who she is.  
But for the men, If you go to reputable known providers such as ones on here with ratings you have references on her with her reviews. Email the reviewers if you that worried. But to expect that we subject ourselves to being set up or injured is crazy. There is nothing to be afraid of with a reputable provider. We are not out to steal personal information or harass you, we just want to be safe. We would not be here for the long haul and have pages of reviews if we were causing problems.  
I  myself not only have reviews on several boards, I have the internet movies and such out there. If you don't feel comfortable with all that then you probably shouldn't be doing the hobby.

I am a member of DC and P411. Have a few references on each. I am whitelisted here and have posted reviews. I am also active on other boards. If you participate and post on the forums then you will have no problems getting approved. I seldom even have to give references and never have had to give out personal info. But back to the question. I would not be comfortable  giving out my personal info.

The opposite view of " not being cleared" is this, money stays in the mans hand.

Ladies, when requesting info (which I am totally cool about and understand for your safety) please accept that I would give all info in a phone call with you, so it is not part of a digital record. You could then take the info I give you and google it to check me out. Otherwise the email/electronic info could be used at a professional board hearing (like a Dental Board) and then my career is shot.

First off I will not do it.  

If my reviews on TER are on not enough, then I will give recent provider names that I have seen, but that isn't always expedient and I will not give out a providers phone # unless it is public knowledge.

I try to stick with providers I have seen or my fellow hobbyists have seen.  I find that if your are a friend of hobbyist XXXX and the provider contacts this hobbyist works about the best.

Many moons ago I frequented a provider who had a madam that booked her appointments.  She knew my real name and city that I lived.  She got busted and for some reason thought I was involved, but not true.  She posted my personal info on several boards and then called my then SO and told her everything.  Never again.

P411 requires real info, so I won't go there.  I don't trust them, you never know if the will get hacked or LE seizes their computer records.

I respect that ladies want our personal info, but I will pass on seeing them.  I am sure that they will not share their real names and home addresses.  I don't want to know this info. All I want is a couple of hours of fun.

They can have my real name, see my driver's license upon arrival, whatever they'd like...as long as I get the same info from them.  Not surprisingly, none have ever agreed to this.  Luckily I have enough references that I'm able to hobby without giving out my real identity.  I respect the ladies need to be safe, so I realize for new clients nowadays with minimal references it is probably a reality.  I personally have way too much to lose if I were outed so if there ever comes a point that I can't hobby without giving out my real identity, I will have to be done.
