When a provider presents her number as like 5five5-one23four I should probly steer clear?

I know most of y'all providers who respond to these threads are well-reviewed and established and all that, but the ones that DO post their number like that are probly tryna prevent me from googling their phone #? Or are they tryna prevent spam phone-call solicitaions? Or maybe they just use their personal phone for business and don't want anyone back-searching their number and discovering their side-job. But then when they get reviewed it gives it all away (bcz TER only takes numbers in digit-form)... What do y'all think?

Sometimes I try to google their number anyway, I have to enter it manually :\ usually doesn't turn up anything.

Yea, I realize it makes it harder to copy and paste the phone number, but it is common practice for people to write phones numbers that way in online ads so that google and other automated web searches don't gather their phone numbers and provide it to every telemarketer on earth.  It is the same principle as to why you don't ever post an email address on any website, unless you want a million pieces of spam every day.  Of course, the phone number is shown in the correct format on TER's website anyway if you every write a review, so their phone number will get indexed by google anyway.

I HATE this kind of advertising.  The idea of advertising is to attract attention.  If it is hard for me to look up a number-- ON TER-- then forget it.  If I have to jump through hoops simply to look up a provider on TER, just imagine the high-maintenance that she will be in real life.  I simply move on.
