First, Happy Thanksgiving to those who are celebratory on this day. To those who are not or for whom this day is depressing, thank you for your presence on this board and in the lives of all you touch. This day isn't always happy for everyone and most of the time, I'm in that category. This year however, I'm very happy.
I wanted to thank all of you who, every weekend, like clockwork since Scott left, have invited me out to do things with you to occupy my down time and keep my spirits up. Every weekend, two or three of you gentlemen email me and offer to spend time with me just to keep my mind off things and focused on being happy. For that, I'm thankful. To the one lady who emailed me, I thank you as well. To the many of you who responded the morning I posted in my time of pain, I thank you as well. It amazes me how stigmatized we are in this hobby, but how quite honestly, some of the nicest, most considerate people I've ever had the blessing to meet are right here on this board.
To all of you who are celebrating today, know that if nothing else, I'm thinking of you all and I'm grateful for each of your spirits and the ways in which you've added positively to my life.
To all of you for whom this day hurts, please take some comfort in knowing that there is someone, and probably many someone's who think about you often, whether it be because you've just run into them today or you've posted and touched their heart at some point. No one is truly alone. This I've learned and take great solace in knowing.
Thank you to all of you for being such integral parts of my life. I appreciate all the little things each of you do.
From the first post I read from you (re: your thoughts on attending the Independent Provider Party) I have enjoyed reading every one of your posts. They are well written, show a depth of thought, and demonstrate intelligence and literary talent. I hope you are doing better - even your desription of life after what's his name was insightful and very moving. I'm still moderated so you may never even see this, but thanks for your thoughts on Thanksgiving. All the major Holidays are a time of celebration for most, but there is always a group that are suffering as well. I'm glad you have many thoughtful friends helping you through this time. Somewhere, sometime we'll meet and I look forward to it.
Keep your chin up !! Things will improve. I agree there are a lot of caring people on this board. Happy Holidays and hope the New Year is good to you !!
