Instead of Hines Ward, the officiating crew should have been the MVP for Pitt. I wasn't rooting for anyone in particular, but that game was dictated by the refs. Pass interference to call back a TD, the fact that Rothlesberger did NOT get in on that run, the phamton holding call that took back a first and goal from the 2, Hasselback's 15 yard personal foul for MAKING A TACKLE, the no call on the obvious horse collar tackle on Alexander.
Like I said, I didn't really care who won...but I can only imagine how pissed fans in seattle must be after that load of !#$%. I know how difficult it is as a fan for your team to lose a Superbowl, namely Philly last year, but they just were beaten by a team who played better in a close game...i couldn't imagine how much worse it would have felt if the refs handed away the lombardi trophy like they did tonight. It makes me very sad as an NFL fan.
...totally inexplicable how those refs were so bad. Bet we won't hear a word out of Joey "the MOUTH" Porter today.
Oh, and what the f&*K is wrong with the creative advertising business. For all the hype about how this year was going to be a return to great new SB ads, I wasn't impressed at all.
The Stones were great, of course. However, I'm still partial to the Moody Blues as being right up there with Mick and Keith in the "still got it after all these years" catagory.
