I want to personally thank anyone who has served this country and those who have stood beside us from other countries to serve for a common cause. Please, let us remember our fallen heroes. United We Stand! Divided We Fall!

Let's pray not just for peace in other countries but for a new start with our nation's leaders. Whether you like the new leaders or not, please support him and his staff in the hard struggle to correct our debts and help people who have lost homes because of lack of employment and ARM loans. Let us be thankful for those who have given us the freedom to make our own choices in this country and also for an America we can all be proud to call home. Pray for our men and women who continue to selflessly serve through trials and tribulations, especially during the holidays, and that they will be returning soon to their families.

Hoooah! Cheers For the red, white and blue!
Ciara

Very well said Miss Ciara, as a veteran I can only join you in your thoughts of those that have served and those that are serving now.

I personally thank you for thinking of us all and our country in general on this special day.

Regards,

Bordello

It also nice to know someone is still around here.

very nice post....I'll be in DC and I know it will be very emotional....I'll sure be thinking of my Dad & Brother
I was raised in the AirForce (yea, I'm a Air Force Brat)born at Williams Air Base, Dad was stationed at Luke, he did 3 tours to Viet Nam my brother did 2 tours Desert Storm, they are gone now but will never be forgotten as with any past or present that have or are fighting for us & our freedom....They are very special people, I feel proud that we honor them
thank you

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, National Guard or Reserve - is someone who, at one point, in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to “The United States of America” for an amount of “up to and including my life.”

That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

and THANK YOU to those of you who have paid for the rest of us to enjoy the freedoms we have in our country....

Thanks Ciara, my brother in law, the guys at work, and all the other veterans on TER....

I still remember those days of humping 100 pounds on my back (and I was only 110 pounds) for thirteen miles, jumping out of perfectly good airplanes and landing like a lump of clay on the hardened & wet and cold ground, and taking orders from someone who was twice my age (younger, that is). You had to have a lot of patience. Cheers to those who endured and perservered  -- and especially to those of us who were injured and have those injuries that remind us daily of the sacrifice we gave. But I wouldn't have it any other way.

Hugs,
Ciara
