I had one of the best steaks I ever had in a restaurant at Matt's Big Breakfast. It's not available every day, though.

I will be coming through your lovely city this week, and won't have a laptop or portable with me.

I'd appreciate any suggestions for an internet cafe or other accessible computer workstations in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.

And where would I go for an excellent steak while I'm in town?

Thanks much!

Woops, Didn't see the orignal message. I would recommend Flemming's...full force! Don't forget the lavacake!

Here are some local choices

Durant's
2611 N. Central Ave (Central & Thomas)
Phoenix
602-264-5967

Don & Charlie's
7501 E Camelback  (Scottsdale Rd & Camelback)
Scottsdale
480-990-0900

Mastro's City Hall
6991 E Camelback  ( Camelback & Goldwater)
Scottsdale, AZ
480-941-4700

Of course we have all the chains, Morton's' Ruth Chris, Flemings, etc. but I thought you'd like some local flavor. Durant's is old Phoenix,  Don & Charlie's is a favorite during baseball spring
training  City Hall is very Scottsdale, if you know what I mean.

Doc, Our first Choice would be Durant's above, second would be
The Stockyards
5009 E Washington St # 115 Phoenix, AZ 85034 - (602) 273-7378

The Stockyards....probably the oldest steak house in Phx...lots of history there! see link
http://www.stockyardsrestaurant.com/history.htm

I just recently ate there and it was great the atmosphere in both places is awesome!

Durants has a lot of history too!

My vote is goes to Mastro's City Hall.

As stated before, a plethora of fine steak resturants valley wide. Bon appetit..

You can always go to the library for internet however I don't think they allow you to access any adult sites, such as TER, but I could be wrong.

For the price you can’t get a better steak than you’ll get at Durant’s. They have the best New York’s or Rib Eye steak that you get anywhere and they are as good as any of the chain restaurant.

Plus it’s one of Phoenix’s oldest steak house with a lot of history behind it.

You can’t go wrong with any item on their menu.

Maybe one of the ASU students here can tell you where there’s a good internet café in the Tempe area.

I do know how to grill one HELLUVA Steak....

16th St. and Bethany Home Rd. Not fancy, not high priced, just GOOD home cookin', nice portions and down home atmosphere.
