OK first off alot of whats being said is flat out wrong.

Coyote mentioned the RICO act or law. Sadly this also Falls under the Patriot Act.

Crissy stone brings up another interesting point. If your in this line of business and dont have yourself incorporated your stand to lose everything. Doesnt matter if you have a apartment and a house, all of your assets where made from illegal means. To get around this you set up a LLC and offer some sort of service. Out of that you pay yourself a weekly pay check. Thus everything you own is held by the LLC and cant be touched. You also no longer deal in cash business only CC and Checks made out to your business.  Thus every penny of that money is legal and you have also paid your taxes on it.

As for the "John"  he can also lose quit a bit. Its up to the state on how they want to handle it. Most states dont do anything but state charges. If the states feel the need they can do rico charges on the guys steming from the payment for services if the lady doesnt have an LLC might be albe to with an LLC. Stating that she is the ring leader or its money laundering.
I know its a bit of a stretch but LE doesnt care they alot of times dont win these cases but they hurt you so bad financially that  is there real win. So onve your bankrupt then the feds charge you with tax evasion and your getting federal time.

In the San Franciso area they are doing alot of this kind of thing to bring down the asian gangs that run the massage parlors and other business.

Basically my point in all of this isnt to give LE more thoughts on how to bust its to make everyone on this board realize that if you dont cover your ass you will get it handed to you at some point and time. Ladies especially you. Your the ones with the real risks so set yourselves up as legal as possible.

When I was busted the biggest thing that was massively apparent wasnt that the cops lied at every turn. Forced the girls to testify by threatening them. It was the Low underhanded things they did full well knowing that my house was paid for by my real job, my cars where from my real Job, I wasnt even there to run the business on a day to day basis. After everything was said and done I lost a 600k home, a BMW M5 , a truck and verything in my house. It was either destroyed or ripped of by the cops letting the girls into the house to collect there things and them taking everything my TV's Computers ect...

As for Playmate Megan  Sady I would guess that you and probably 99% of the ladies in this line of work have at least one if not many more cops that come see you. So when it comes to checking the guys out its a sadly vailed attempt to protect yourselves. There are laws against this practice but no one pays attention to them and in a court of law your words come with little to credibility.

I am speaking more on the side of a agency owner or past owner. But they do use the same tactics with the Indy ladies too.

So everyone please make sure to be as legally safe as possible.

All aspects of the equation are always at risk. However your perspective is heavily slanted by your personal experience. As a owner you are clearly at significant risk. Your legal exposure is 100 times higher then anyone else....PERIOD.

If anyone is curious all criminal proceedings are public record. It's not hard to find the truth if you look for it.

87% of all criminal cases are pleaded out....trust me this type of activity isnt high on any courts list. The recent bust took almost 2 years to put togeather....this was a major criminal enterprise. Dont confuse this with your reality. We here about actors, ball players & politicians getting "pinched" every week somewhere in the country. 98% get caught soliciting a streetwalker. The other 2% get caught in a "Storefront" bust. There is almost no legal record of "johns" getting arrested with either agency or independent escorts (dont confuse this with a sting like the one in Seattle).

It costs money to prosocute a case...a lot of it. The primary focus is and always will be high crime "urban blight" area's followed by any type of "store front" activity. This is the visable manifestation of prostitution that breeds other types of property crime & violent crime.

At a higher level organized prostitution has always been a key element in all kinds of organized crime...like the recent bust we've discussed this is normally a multijuristictional taskforce.

The real bottom line here is quite simple....be careful. But realize that the penalties for a DUI are significantly tougher than what you'll face for a solicitation charge...

100% correct, LE will be willing to plead out the cases. Pleading is a two way street. Give something to avoid a trial. It costs tens of thousands of dollars to defend yourself from prosicution. In return you need to allocate. This means ratting out those who you committed the crime with. You do not get to plead out without either jailtime, a huge fine, or ratting out. This is how LE works their way up the food chain. Been this way forever.

In the meantime you now have a criminal record. People may lose your job, family, their lfe as they know it. This may be acceptable to you, it is not to me.

While you are correct that there is the falacy of prostitution breeding other crimes, but that is not the reason for these semi-annual crackdowns. The crackdowns always create headlines, and the Morman's and Catholics love seeing the sinners suffer. The public loves seeing 'big titted blonds' and 'scummy johns' lead away in handcufs. Virtually no politician will go public saying these crackdowns are a waste of time and money.   The press does no followups on the conviction rates, expenses, or overall success of these actions.

To prevent this, I stick to my ATF's and NEVER give ANY personal information. NO REVIEWS POSTED IN YEARS, NO NAME, NO ADDRESS, NO GOING TO HOOKER/JOHN PARTIES, NO BRAGGING ABOUT HOW WELL KNOWN I AM IN THE HOBBY, NO GIVING REFERENCES, NO NETWORKING, NO DATES AT MY HOUSE, NO PROVIDERS IN MY CAR.

I realize that my 'hobby' is illegal, and no different than in my youth when I purchased illegal substances. I do not get friendly with my co-conspiritors. It is simply a business transaction, not a lifelong friendship. I treat all my providers with respect when we are together, but I do not want to socialize with them later. No different when I bought drugs 30 years ago. I treated my pushers with respect, but did not hang around with them.

actually the cops make a nice profit off of seizures and money seized. Alot of times they make busts when there in need of money, cars, or other things

i would have to agree with coyote just a little bit. some of the people on these boards take this hobby to another level. remember it is a hobby not your life. the only thing i must disagree with is that it is illegal. are you doing somthing illegal? why would you admit guilt on the boards or anywhere?

C'mon, all LE has to do is read reviews :)
