Can't help you with no-shows.  Lots of adds for less expensive options does not seem to be a reason to cause no-shows.  I'd guess the opposite.

I find many BP Tucson "special" adds that aren't locals, not even local to AZ.  Phone numbers that only turn up recent local hits. Adds with TinEye hits.

From what I remember many of the Phoenix prices are higher than here. Might be more disposable income in the Phoenix area? More disposable income showing up with direct flights to Phoenix from major airports?  

Could just be that Phoenix has more disposable income because that area has the political power to retain more $$$$ while forcing every where else to have less $$$$$$.

A local TV station did one of their "Big Headline" no worth while content stories mentioning Backpage.  Touting it a few days prior to broadcasting it migh have diminished the calls you got.

But, it's cooler here.  The traffic jams aren't as horrible as Phoenix.  AND, the men here are a lot more attractive.  

I got the exact opppsite you got.  Last time I was in Tucson I tried with no sucess to hobby and could not get a call back.  When I did get the call it I got no time or no that $$$ was for last month this month is $$$$ kind of response.  I have never really had good luck when trying to hobby in Tucson.

Please this is nothing against the lovely ladies of Tucson just haven't found you yet I suppose....
