I don't know what's happened to me this week, I've become fascinated with watching people. So as I'm bouncing from doctor to doctor and so on today, I noticed people who are around mid 30's  and older don't dress for their age.

They either dress a lot younger or a lot older, I had to take stock in what I wear when I'm out running errands casually......sadly I came to the conclusion I dress like a 16yr old. Concert or superman t-shirts and tank tops with Dr Martins or converse sneakers, anyone else a fashion disaster?

Outside of work, I still dress the same as I did when I was 16 as well. Board shorts, skate T's and a ball cap. Not to mention that Van's and Chuck Taylor's are the only shoes I own other than my vast collection of flip flops. I don't know if you can say you're a fashion disaster. I grew up with some sort of board underneath me at all times: Skate, Snow or Surf depending on the day.
Does dressing that way make me a disaster....I'll let others judge. All I know is that my clothes are comfy as hell and ain't nothing changing anytime soon.

One the flip side, I take my 8 yr old to school each day and see all these parents that look so old and frumpy that it's nuts. They have to be about my age, so I don't get it. It's like they had a kid and suddenly they aged 10 years......crazy!!!

P.S. Hope you feel better soon. Back problems are the worse.

When it comes to fashion I'm not on the cutting edge. Favorite winter is ratty jeans and hoody. Favorite summer is baggy shorts and a tee. I do like dressing up for a nice dinner, show, etc. but I primarily dress down. Whenever I'm in need of confirmation that I'm not dressed inappropriatly I simply make a trip to Walmart around midnight. I'm a freakin superstar in that joint at that time of day. Do that a few times a year and my clothing budget goes down and my hobbying budget goes up.....the correct choice every time.

I'm a jeans/cargo's and T-shirt/golf shirt guy. Can't stand wearing a suit and tie. But, that's just me. As long as you and your clothes are clean, that's the most important.

Bailey, you'd look HOT! in anything you choose to wear! IMHO. ;)

Bailey,

I hope your road to recovery is going well.  =) =) =) and warm wishes to you.
When I go run errands, I am usually in a t-shirt and shorts or jeans and sneakers or sandals.  I am not wearing an Armani suit to shop at Costco.  Also of note, if I ran across a 16 year old who looked as hot as you do in your "just running errands clothes," I would demand a law be passed immediately to lower the age of consent to 16 =P

What would be fashionable for an average man in his 30's, or 40's, or 50's? I think of fashionable as being up on the trends. I sure dont do that.

sorry not here. I do not care about fashion or trends. I am usually in gym shorts and a Green Bay Packer shirt. Now when I travel for work, I will be in dress pants and polo or dress shirt.

If you want to see men dressed to the nines go back east to Chicago  those guys   have amazing style  in AZ we are much more casual why because we can .....that's the beauty of living in AZ for both men and women......when a suit shows up its always an out-of -towner first thing I do is get them into a fresh robe and slippers ......

Women were dressed up grocery shopping with hi-heels on back east, here there were they we're wearing thongs to the store. Oh by the way that's the kind that go on your feet. But if they were wearing the other kind to do grocery shopping you better believe I'd be doing the shopping for next weeks meals.

be careful what you ask for most women I see in AZ grocery shopping  should only be wearing thongs on their feet  although I bet most would consider buying less food when faced with all those dimpled asses and cottage cheese thighs it might work as a great diet  for some of us when I see someone huge eating 2 slices of pizza  at thee food court in costco  even though i thought I wanrtd it walking in after seeing the results  not so much

OMG that reminds me, last week at the grocery store there was a woman who was trying her best to be Kim Kardashian in 5" heels dressed to the hilt with a baby, a few of us couldn't help ourselves and laughed til we cried

For reminding me of a sixty plus year old woman I used to work with. A butt as big as a semi and she would wear spandex everyday, her hair piled up on top of her head like Rose Moffert and oh god the perfume you could smell her fifty feet away.

Vic, I'll take exception to your observation about AZ women in public. This is gonna lose me big points with Minnesota women but when I shop in Phoenix, there is a stark difference in the body sizes of the average AZ woman or man compared to the average Minnesota or Midwestern woman. Overall, I find the Arizona women much more fit and attractive, they are nearer their appropriate BMI, at least. I wonder if it's because of where I grocery shop in the nicer areas of greater Phoenix; I see the nicer, more well to do ladies out who care about their appearance and take the time to work out and eat healthier. I think Phoenix is very similar to southern California. Attractive, fit women are much more the rule than the exception. The warmer climate probably has a lot to do with it, too. It's easier to get outside and be active when it's warm.

I was out following Bailey around the other day (I was cleverly disguised to avoid her detection) and I took pictures of the people she encountered. Enjoy!

Victoria, You don't need red flags for that load. But you might need a haz mat (hazardous materials) placard for Dangerous Load. They don't have placards for Hott!!  Although thats what CDL drivers would call a hot load. Which means you can't leave it till its delivered.

my  Dad use to kid me and say when I walked it looked  like two  pigs  wrestling in a gunny sack.......and when thongs came in vogue  I knew I was in trouble when it appeared to look more like butt floss hard to find ! On the bright side big butts have made somewhat of a comeback ! The bigger  the cushion the better the pushion or at least that's my story and I'm sticking  to it !
