feel uncomfortable with taking a call if someone arrives and calls with a restricted phone number?

I know sometimes these gentlemen like to be as discreet as us but today I had a situation where I obtained a date-check #/handle name-via email. (Someone can just use anyone's off of any board so I would prefer a gent PM through here if he has a TER account & theres no cooperating provider giving a reference with little time). That made me feel okay until he arrived with a restricted phone number.

Sometimes I am safe to a fault-I admit, but my safety is worth more than any amount of $ and my future career that I have worked so hard for in more ways than one rests on a clean "citizen" slate. I also feel that a phone number is key. If I am laying on my incall floor-murdered, police have a clue. (By the way....gents have my # so show me yours and I'll show you mine) =p

I have never had this occur.....most gentleman are forthright with information needed as far as contact info. So, I am curious as to how the ladies would or do handle something like this. You never can tell......
Thanks for your feedback in advance gals. =>

the call..  Even knowing that someone, especially verified, is expected and for them to call from a restricted number?

I almost find it offensive as if after "they" picked me, I am not worthy of a phone number (which I require during the screening process only)..

So, while it may initially show, for me as a nc/ns, if a vetted gent does not want to call from a known #..

No thanks,

IMO, you did a good thing, and protected yourself..

Thank you so much Jazz! I agree....safety first and I did feel a bit offended. I'm used to gents at least getting a hobby phone for discretion.

As a troll from away, planning a visit to the Valley of the Sun, I find your reaction reasonable, responsible and safe for everyone. This is a regret that you can live with.

Stay safe and well...........

Hi Audra,
I believe you can check a gentleman's email address on his date-check profile. If the two email addresses match, I would assume that it's the same person. In that case, I wouldn't mind if he called from a restricted number when he arrived at my place. That is, if his membership is more than an "honorary" membership. He would need to have at least two provider Okay's for me to have scheduled with him.
I hope that helps!
