I advertise on CL and am on PHX411. If you think any one site is safer from LE than the other, think again. LE monitors just about every site there is.  I am a reputable provider, have been around for 7 years. I advertise on CL because I get MANY really cool guys who I happen to have alot of fun with. I would never stop advertising there. Sorry it came to this Glen, you have a great site but you can remove me at any time. Perhaps I am not a "top shelf" provider but at the end of the week, I am have a big smile on my face.

Diane, there is an old saying "do not bite off your tail to spite your nose" Why leave a stellar site for CL? Unless you get more business on CL I agree all sites are monitered the point is on 411 we ladies do our homework and that makes a difference. on CL who are you going to call ? Glens place is a bargain its the most affordable site out there. Sorry to see you leave best of luck. Victoria

anyone care to guess the orgin of that?  I'm ready to book multiple hours with the provider - or agency - that can correctly identify the orgin of that saying ... and because I always strive to play fair ... here's a hint ... French nuns.

"Don't cut off your nose to spite your face" is a warning not to act out of pique or pursue revenge in such a way as to damage yourself more than the object of your anger.

The phrase is believed to have originated from a (probably fictional) event that was said to have taken place in AD 867: Viking pirates from Sjaelland and Uppsala landed in Scotland and raided the monastery of Coldingham. When news of the raid reached Aebbe the Younger, the Mother Superior, she gathered her nuns together and urged them to disfigure themselves, that they might be unappealing to the Vikings. In this way, they hoped to protect their chastity. St. Aebbe accomplished this by cutting off her nose and upper lip. The nuns proceeded to do the same. The Viking raiders were so disgusted by the scene that they burned the entire building to the ground.

Although the nuns believed their actions to be justified (indeed, Aebbe was canonized), the expression has since come to refer to pointlessly self-destructive actions motivated purely by malevolence. For example, if a man is mad at his wife, he may burn down their house to punish her. Of course, this would be an example of cutting off his nose to spite his face, as in the process of burning down her house he would also be destroying his home, along with all his personal possessions.

"Don't cut off your nose to spite your face" is a warning not to act out of pique or pursue revenge in such a way as to damage yourself more than the object of your anger.  It's not a good idea, for example, to express your (entirely understandable) distaste for the sorry state of broadcast journalism today by tossing your TV set out the window.  Peter Jennings couldn't care less, and you'll miss The Simpsons until you buy another set.  

The precise origin of "Don't cut off your nose to spite your face" is slightly fuzzy, but it seems to have first appeared around 1200 as a Latin proverb cited by Peter of Blois, a French poet of the day.  The phrase then crops up a bit later in a history of France, written in the mid-17th century, attributed to a courtier who supposedly employed it to deter King Henry IV from destroying Paris to punish the occupants' low opinion of his rule.  The proverb apparently didn't really become popular in English until the 19th century.

I thought that in order to be on your site you had to be well reviewed, established in the community. So with that being said once a provider is on your site where she advertises not be an issue. Unless of course service and reputation changes!

Teeri you raise a good point, like with Diane she has been on 411 several years,but how do we keep CL off? Maybe Glen could gandfather in proven providers that have been his site just no new providers.......Just a thought

you keep them off till they have reached a certain amount of reliable reviews not the one time reviewer which seems to be as bad as everything else we've been talking about.
No rip off reviews. Also a web site with a banner on it, like in the case of TER rules except those that use CL as a link that have none in most cases but after 45days the ad goes away!  TER seems to let that rule slide for some reason.

Just some thought!

and not personal.  I totally understand your decision here.  You are being forced to choose, we all are.

This is where we find out the truth about cl.  We are all is this together and it's all about numbers. We do our reasearch.  We choose the ones we want to be with.  The choosier you are the more numbers you need.  

Everybody has gone over to at least check out CL because of so much bad publicity.  What everyone will be surprised at is how much traffic really is over there.  Theres always good with the bad.

Now what will surprise you more is how many MEN use CL and BP and won't admit it here. RESEARCH remember cross referenceing works too.

LE is everywhere and a lame excuse if you think you are ever totally safe.  You want safety, quit this business then, because it's all about risks!!!

What would happen if Glen said, any guy who frequents CL can't use his site?  Now that would be crazy wouldn't it?  He's not paid by the guys.  He doesn't even need to cater to them if he doesn't want to.  So are you going to cater to the ladies?  Are we in this together or are we going to split into class or trash?  This is a BIG step here and someone will risk it eventually.  Time for my favorite sayings to boldly cum out now.

You can take the ho out of the street, but you can't take the street out of the ho....You also can take the lady out of her class but not take the class out of the lady!!!

Our biggest problem is how we look at each other and point fingers, instead of loving support.  Splitting will make the job twice as tough.  BANNING together instead of apart will keep both side in purspective.  Can you see where this can all lead?  SAFETY is number ONE!!!

DIANA...stop downing yourself...you are awesome, beautiful and have the best integrity ever.  You know how I feel about you my friend and I will not sit back and watch you bash yourself too.  This business rakes every part of us over the coals with little love in return.  It's one of the hardest, unsafe and loneliest places to be and most end up here, not choose to be here.  At least they can choose to leave too, unlike most.  For some its the last stop and its so sad.

We can never lose our perspective or ever be to safe.  We do the best we can and hope it works out in the end.

DIANA you have done great, have a successful business and share your love like a true angel and I am proud to call you my friend as well.  You are TOP SHELF to me hun and I can safely speak for others on this as well...you go girlfriend!!!

Thanks Candy, you are too sweet. It comes to being PHX411 or advertising on CL. Since I am made to choose, I choose CL. Matter of economics, CL has been very good for me. I have been around for 7 years, TRYING to give good service. We all can't be 10's and charge top dollar. We all can be true, trusted and give our best. I give my best and have absolutely loved meeting the guys I meet from CL. I refer many clients to others because "so many men, so little time"! lol  Diana

Keep Strong Diane,

  The only real split that matters and hurts is when the split is between the providers not supporting each other when what happens is wrong.
Sooner or later you will all be a target of some thing or some one. Guess thats when you find who the ones are that will stand and those that sit back.  Best of Luck.
