such. I don't get it, appointment scheduled, arrangements to call when I arrive in the parking lot and her phone is turned off,not by the wireless provider, but by the provider her very own self. 35 minutes of travel x's 2, wasted time,etc.,etc. I am a very understanding gentleman who understands last minute challenges and the need to reschedule, all it takes is a phone call, but nooo we are just gonna blow this guy off because we don't need the business and the referrals that a happy hobbiest sends our way. All I can say is "great business plan".

I think you've run into the downside of Indies vs. Agencies.  At least, with a reputable Agency, you'll get a prompt response.
And, oh by the way, since you still haven't heard from her, please let us know who stood you up tday, so we won't make the same mistake.  Thanks.

...who promptly return calls and provide references, and at the other extreme you have women want to be as successful as Mya and Tina, but don't get it. It's not just what you do BCD's. It about behaving in pleasant as well as unpleasant situations with consideration and good manners. Behaviour suggests character, and character is destiny.

Not to step on toes of anyone... but i always answer my phone, and if for some reason i cannot, i will always return my calls asap. Which i have never cancelled on a hobbyist, but have been stood up a number of times, which yes to say the least is very frustrating and upsetting. Just my information on the topic. I understand your frustration fully....

But I keep my appointments. I'm happy to see that my effort is not going un-noticed.

:)

Have a great week

In the horizontal at least there is the gift of nature to re lay on. But getting there requires reliability when vertical.  Not so much agency or indie attribute. There can be problems with both but at least with the good agencies there is help in sorting the flakes. We still have some  great reliable ladies and agencies. It may be best to stick to those known for applying themselves to their trade. There are a lot of choices. More fun to deliver the envelope in person than to mail it in!

It always pays to be respectful to your client (and potential client) base when things are good. You'll need all you can find when times get tough. Personally I'd suggest posting a review with a 1 or 2 (not sure which is appropriate) and an explanation.

I fully support the gals "blackballing" a habitual no show...the same thing apllies for us. I think we (hobbiests) would appreciate a heads up as well. I for one would think twice about scheduling time with a unreliable gal.

I do realize that unforeseen events might have occured and that there are two sided to a story. The fact that she hasnt taken the time to tell you hers speaks volumes....

Couldn't agree more. You need to out this person. I once had a morning appt., drove over to assigned location, called (four times), finally went back to my hotel. I emailed her, she responded later to say she overslept. Whatever. Then this same provider was complaining that she wasn't getting enough business. Go figure.

I realize stuff happens, and I'm sure many hobbyists have stood up providers. But in everything, hobbying, business, sports, relationships, doing the basic, simple things well and without fail will prevent 95% of all problems.

OK, off my soapbox now.

I don't believe in throwing anyone under the bus. I think we have all have been guilty at one time or another of not following up on something. My post and'rant' was one of frustration and can be applied to any business in the valley and hopefully it serves as a gentle(lol) reminder to all who understand that we are running a business,no matter how much fun is involved. thanks for listening and responding. The nature of this business depends on the night before, wild sex, late night drinking,if rent is due,if she is doing this on the side and has a regular job, or a provider who happens to be classy and responsible. Unfortunately, their are  more who don't have the respect of their clients time as a high priority.I have used agencies, independents, and all have had their issues of some sort or the other with the girls being on time, in the mood,"up" for the day,if this is her 3rd or 4th of the day etc. To be honest their are some who like in any job are always late to work, early to leave, wanting time off, lazy and yet think they deserve the same pay as one of the best workers. One has to make the decision to write a negative review, say who she is and be honest, and the girl will either get her act together or be put out of business as in any business who gives lousy service goes out of business. If one is not willing to do this as a service to other hobbyiest, as well as to the provider herself to get her act together then I see no reason to complain or comment. I go out for a dinner and complain to someone about the lousy dinner or drove 35 minutes to the place and found they decided to close for just the heck of it, I complain to my friends about the resturant and when they ask what place, I say I'd rather not say. My two cents. BJN
