I am touring full-time now and have a major dilemma....When I go to metropolitan areas it is hard to verify military personele.I am trying to be understanding when these guys call,but I HAVE to have a reputable reference of some sort.Are there any 800 numbers to call for personele directory?? Any suggestions will be helpful.{and is it ok to see Border Patrol agents or is that risky??}

If you decide to accept this as a means of ID, you will want to take look at the color of the card, see the link below.
My dad was a career Army officer. I carried military ID, the tan version, and enjoyed full military privileges until my 24th birthday. I'm a bit brainy, and went to grad school, otherwise I would have been cut off on my 22nd birthday. You will want to notice the color of the card!!! Otherwise you might be visiting the horny son of member of active, or retired, personnel.
These things a standardized. USA means US Army, USN, US Navy, USAF, US Air Force, etc. Look for an "R" at the end or his service branch!!! The "R" means RESERVE. When dad retired, I had to get a new card showing that I was now sponsored by Maj. V, USAR, the reserve army major, instead of Capt. V USA, the active duty captain.
I appreciate that you are wanting to help out service men, but if you see an "R" on the card, you know there are parts of his life you can't assume!!!
