Eros in Vegas usually has over 400 ads and almost all of them are bogus. Out here, agencies are bait-n-switch - scam-n-jam and they spend a lot of money on advertising.
When looking at an Eros ad, you need to hover over it (or right-click, properities) and see what the account name is in the bottom left hand corner of your browser.

That is great information. Thank you. What I used to do was a reverse look up in the Yellow Book. A lot of those ads come up to a variety of Agency names with an address that is a vacant lot on 7th St. I have attached a link to Yellow Book Reverse look up. It only works on business numbers
....the information this Board used to have before it became inundated with self-promotion and useless drivel. The information contained in the post is totally accurate (I know the Vegas scene pretty well), and I can also vouch totally for the validity of the "LV Delights" site. The content on LV Delight is similarly-based as Phoenix411.net is here, that is, a provider must be verified as not being a rip-off and can only qualify by having a number of favorable reviews posted.

This board can be anything we want it, and yes I say "WE" because this board belongs to all of us Ladies and the Gents a like.
This board can and does still have info being shared. No one is stopping anyone from doing that!
I don't know why you have a problem with the Ladies in Phoenix posting on the board whether it be an ad or a topic that the poster is usually trying to get some conversation generated. I for one try to do just that, I have a small following and only a few take the time to share, I know I'm being ignored but you know what?.... it won't stop me from continuing something that I have been invited and encouraged to do by the the owner of this board.

Any Hobbyist will understand exactly what I said, and I'm sure most will agree with my statements. It had absolutely nothing to do with the Vegas Board, but you have misunderstood others' posts on this Board before.

regarding the Vegas board...the original post was about Vegas and your comment about the drivel and self promoters in Phx....have you ever referred those comments to Vegas or other boards? Is Phoenix the only board that has these two problems?

I havent found this board to be of any real use for anything other than the occasional humorous post in several months.
Ive gotten to the point where i check it biweekly if that and then i see the usual bland vanilla. After the bigdoggie scare this board was racous and a cacaus now its not even a straw poll.
I honestly cant think of any way to make this board useful to the hobbiest again...well i can think of one or two steps. however to avoid inflaming passionsi will keep my ruminations to my self.
ok, take out the maybe...but in my limited time "online" (first encounter with a BBS was back in 1987) it seems to me the content of any message board is dictated by the users thereof.
If you don't think a board has enough intel post some...if you want more light banter, post that, if you want pictures mocking fat women get Kathy of 47th over from the Vegas board...
Thing is you have to give if you hope to get...you have good posts and good intel? share it, then others might be inclined to share theirs as well...if you don't have any intel, but instead are just waiting for everyone else to provide it to you and that's why you don't like when it is missing...well sharing is a two way street if you don't have any info to give, or that you want to give, you can't really bitch if everyone else is doing the same as you.
Praise this post, fine...but bitching that posts like it aren't made? Why aren't you that lament the lack of this type of post making them? Why are you just waiting for everyone else to do such posts and complaining when they don't...but still not doing so yourselves?
Content of message boards is controlled by the users, if you don't add the content you want to see, then you lose a bit of the argument over what other do add. You shape your board that's how it works, not by insinuating others shouldn't post, or that their posts are useless, but by posting what you think is useful.
Question, if info isn't shared now because of the posts that are here...what makes you think it will be if the posts you don't like stop? If the posts you want to see aren't being made now, I doubt they would be made if the banter stopped I think the board would just be dead with nothing getting posted at all...but maybe to some that is preferable.
You want this board to be a certain thing then write what you want to read instead of telling others to stop writing.
Surely you do notice the basic ground shift this board has taken over the last nine months to a year?
It has turned from a place to network to a place to advertise for a few. People are so afraid to be seen as controversial that rather than take the chance on a post being considered adversarial that they like myself just dont bother.

I don't get why networking need be controversial or adversarial. The folks replying in this thread said that the original post, about how to read eros ads, was the kind of information they wanted...I didn't see that post as either controversial or adversarial, just informative.
My thoughts went more to the idea that if the ground shifted it has to do with those that leave causing things to not be level more so than the folks that post.
This board is even easier to get rid of stuff you don't like, most message boards will move threads with new posts to the top, so someone can keep bumping their post to keep it in the "public" eye...this board, enough new threads are started after the one that is "disliked" and that thread falls to the second page. So for each post that isn't liked; if all the folks that don't like it would start one thread of the content they do desire that which they don't like would fall off the first page. If the posts that aren't liked were ignored, not replied to, and forced off the page, even the most myopic person would eventually get the hint. If the networking or info threads got replies and sparked conversations then maybe more people would share those things.
On the other hand, if the posts one doesn't like causes them to reply in a way that seems to lead to a "train wreck" that thread and those posts will get all the reads and replies, and give the thread starter reason to post more. Here is a fun little fact: for all the replies from people telling someone their posts are drivel or crap, there is usually at least two people that privately contact the one being told to "shut up" supporting them (whether they actually support them or just say they do, who knows), so the act of trying to silence someone actually has the effect of giving them more reason to keep doing what those that don't like it want to have them stop.
Yes, there has been a shift, but the options seem to be: work to shift it back, run away, or stay and complain about the shift. Seems the last option is that most often taken. If the shift makes you and others not want to post anymore then the shift is permanent, but look at it this way...if a handful of people changed the tenor of the board, then it is possible for a handful of other people to change it back or change it into something new entirely...but just complaining about it doesn't do that, that only helps to perpetuate the shift.
who better to help out vegas visitors...you would know where to find the best!
Too many providers on here making a mockery of this board which should be for more informative purposes. I wish ladies would just stick to running their ads once a week.

But on this board MANY gals do not post due to the slamming they get when they do and/or the shilling for the agencies to get a discount garbage that goes on here.
