A girl I know, who I have a crush on who also knows me, had done some work for me so I decided last week I would send her a bouquet of flowers for V-Day to say thanks, nothing romantic in the card at all and purposely did not send Roses....just wanted to send a subtle hint that I am interested.....I don't know if she has a boyfriend and I know she worked today...If I was a gambling man, I would have bet the farm that she would have at least called to say thanks even if she did have a boyfriend...I kept checkin my phone every couple of hours to make sure it was working....no call.

She may not have gotten them delivered yet. I sent via FTD who says they deliver to a business by 5pm. She just got them at 7:35 tonight. They have a disclaimer stating it may be delivered on the next business day. Good luck, give it a day and see what happens. Cheers

Even if she does not call, it was a grand gesture, deserving of at least a little self gratification.

Sometimes, it's beautiful to lose, too.  That's not a sentiment for which you'll find much support, but there is something strangely powerful in that unsatisfied longing that makes us aware we're alive.  

The fact that something makes our hearts ache is a reminder that we still have them, and that they must have enjoyed something very much in order to miss it so exquistely when it's gone.  

I ended a little mini-relationship this morning myself.  I was surprised it hurt.  I guess she meant more to me than I had thought, and I'm glad she did.  I miss her, but it's lovely to know I can still care.  I suspect that may be something akin to what you're feeling.

Or... I may also be entirely full of shit.  

Either way, you did a nice thing, and you should never regret being nice.  

So, hang in man.  There's always one more thing around the next corner.

Being kind, generous and respectful never landed anybody in trouble.  With a great attitude like yours, if this one isn't "the one", you'll soon find another opportunity to display your romantic side to someone who's ready to receive it.  Take it from someone who knows...nice guys can still do pretty darn well in this world, and they sleep well, too.

A client asked me to have some flowers delivered to my wonderful phone ops and they have yet to arrive!  I ordered them on Monday for yesterday delivery.  I am hoping they get there today.  Wait it out and see what happens...

for letting me vent...I appreciate all the warm encouragement...I called the florist up and they told me it was delivered 1st thing V-day a.m.  Oh well, as mentioned...nice to know that my heart still skips a beat at the anticipation of a potential budding romance.

Myabe she has me mixed up with some other Iceman, there was no VM.  Are you sure she has something for me?
