I don’t want to start a flame war over this topic but I wanted to present the top providers with the least risk list.  I personally think that they are also the most likely to be someone’s ATF.
A few years ago, this site and the boards and reviewers helped me find a couple of very memorable experiences.  I was able to try the hobby and was lucky enough to never have to experience a rip off.  The method I used to try to identify providers seemed to work years ago when the searches on the internet provided plenty of examples of rip-offs and busts.  There seems to be plenty of rip-offs and busts now so maybe this will help someone else.

I used three basic criteria:
1.  Largest number of consistent reviews.
2.  Consistent high marks in both looks and performance.
3.  Time frame of reviews.

Let me explain how I performed the analysis.
1. The higher the sample, the higher the likelihood that the data is accurate.  YMMV, lies, inaccuracies, inconstancies, all can bite one in the butt, so to speak.  One great review might still be a rip-off, however in a given city the person with the largest number of consistent reviews is least likely to be a rip-off.
2. Some might like blondes, some might like brunettes, busty or waif, long hair or short.  Some like ethnic, European, Asian, or white.  If you look at the reviews, gfe has about 998 different definitions for every 1000 reviews.  Some of the details might be off, but you won’t look for Mexican food and end up with Jack in the Box tacos and a choco-taco for desert.  TER matches up certain details of the reviews with the performance rating.  If the performance reviews are high, you can expect to get somewhat more than a whack on the head and a glimpse of someone’s boyfriend running down the road with your wallet.
3. If the time frames of the reviews are both long and recent you will have better luck also.  If a provider has been reviewed for several years, it become increasingly more likely that performance isn’t erratic.  If there are some recent reviews then it is likely that there hasn’t been some recent change in behavior.

Let me make it clear that this is just one old man’s opinion.  There is no disrespect intended to anyone that isn’t on this list.  Also no disrespect intended to new providers, or providers that prefer to not get a whole lot of reviews.  This is just a list of the providers that have the largest number of reviews, have been reviewed within the last three months and have an average rating of at least 8 in both appearance and performance.
