How safe and legit is backpage? I'm new and would like some pointers from those of you wise with experience. When providers simply post their number, what do you text or say in regards to rates, reviews, ect?

Thanks!

Read the FAQ for newbies. Read some reviews. Find someone who fits your liking and make a phone call. It's not that difficult. I agree with whoever it was that said maybe you should just go golfing.

Sorry about that, I'm just very new to this and wanting to be safe as well as learn how to go about it the right way. Thanks for your thoughts.

If you haven't already, invest in a VIP membership. Go to the TOP 100 Phoenix Providers and make your selection from that list. Do not start out on BP! Get some experience under your belt, then if you feel inclined to hunt on BP, go for it. With a few positive experiences behind you, you will have a better idea what constitutes "safe" and "risky" behavior. Good luck!

To provide a productive answer. That was very helpful. Thanks!

I understand the importance of being discreet and that's exactly the nature of my questions. I want to ask in a bery discreet way. Am I the ONLY person who has never done this (hobbying) to ask questions? I want to be safe and do everything the right way. I've found the Newbie guide and that is helpful. I just wanted to ask about others experience with Backpage especially when you can't find reviews or rates in a Backpage ad. Not sure why exactly this points me to be a cop. If I'm out of line in any way, I will gladly listen to the advice of those with experience. I'm learning the ropes and figured a discussion board might be helpful. That's all really.

Backpage is neither legit nor illegitimate.  It is like ebay.  Backpage has ads from both excellent women and crackheads and everything in between.  The way to sort them out is to look at their reviews.  If they have no reviews at all, then I suggest you don't see them.

When providers post their number, copy the number into the search box on this website and read their reviews for yourself.  You will even find their rates in the review area.  Therefore you don't need to call anybody and ask them about their reviews, this info is already available to you.  Besides, if some woman has bad reviews, she is not going to tell you how bad she is over the phone anyway, so is there really any point in asking?

If for some reason the ad does not have a rate, and you want to ask their rate, I always pick up the phone, call them and say:  "Hello, I am looking at your ad on backpage, can you tell me what your rate is?"   I know this is not the sophisticated answer you were looking for, but then again, when you call someone to ask them a simple question like this, they might appreciate it if you just ask them the question instead of playing charades over the phone.

If you are satisfied with the reviews you read and you are satisfied with the rate that you were quoted, you could always proceed to say something like: "Great!  Are you available at 3:00 today?"

I really don't see how all this communication stuff is any different than calling someone who is selling a lawnmower on backpage.  If you have questions about the price or the seller's availability, just call the person and ask.  If you don't know if the honda lawnmower or the sears lawnmower is better, then go to some website and read the consumer reviews on both.  This is not rocket science.

I suggest that if you have further questions like this, post them on the newbie board.

You've been asking a lot of questions and it has been suggested to you a few times to read the Newbie board.  That's also a good place to post some of these questions.  Most of us can certainly understand what it is like to be new and curious.  But this really isn't as difficult as you are trying to make it.

Instead of trolling BP and wondering ... try reading the new reviews section instead.  I just looked and there are 12 pages of new reviews posted just in the last few weeks.  Surely you will find what you are looking for there.

Good luck and have fun

Probably 95% of the girls I have reviewed have been found on BP. You will find good providers who use fake pics, bad providers who use real pics, and everything in between including a few gems. I've never had an issue with LE (fingers are crossed).

I'm assuming you're not VIP. Go to "new reviews" for Phoenix on TER. Choose a few providers who have at least a handfull of reviews. Look through the links on each providers profile until you find and ad that looks legit and is to your liking (have some back-ups). Give her a call, ask her rates if they aren't in her ad, and set up an appointment.

See a couple of inexpensive girls for half, or an hour, and write a couple of reviews for your VIP membership. Upgrade your providers if you wish and then keep on writing reviews for the betterment of this board. Good luck!

BTW, you came to the right place, there's just a bunch of newbies on the Newbie board:)!
