As Jazz stated, there's been some "happ'nings" in the Valley over the past 10 months.  But don't be discouraged, there are still many talented independents (such as the aforementioned Jazz) available for your social bliss.  In fact, the young lady you saw previously is now an independent.

  Thanx for the reasonable response. I can't believe a couple of the responses I got to my question. One above (but she is HOT!)and one by PM. Much sarcasm because I don't live in Phoenix and haven't been there in some time and as such have had no reason to keep up with happenings on this board until now in preperation of my visit next week.
