What's a BBBJ?

A cautionary tale...

Earlier today I was in a text exchange with a colleague.   In one of my texts to him, I referenced a four letter acronym relevant to our industry.   I didn't review the text, but it auto-corrected the acronym to BBBJ.  Fortunately, he had no clue and apparently wasn't motivated enough to Google it.  Instead, he just asked, "what's a BBBJ?"  I responded "I have no idea, my phone sucks."  The pun was intended.

My hobby related communications are done on my phone, and clearly BBBJ has been seared in its memory, or Siri was horny.

Moral of the story, proof read your texts; or come up with an alternate, less salacious, definition for BBBJ

You should have made up something that fits your industry.  It would be great to get everyone to use the acronym without knowing what it is.  I might have to try it at my office. :)

...we routinely review and deliver CIMs. I crack up every time!

Great advice on your phone's autocorrect. Will need to check my autocorrect dictionary.

Found out a couple of things using phone for work emails.....
--"DATA" always comes back as DATO or DATY.
-- a lot of IT guys are either hobbyists or internet savvy enough to know the acronyms anyways.
--it's not hard to learn how to regularly maintain your phone's personal dictionary to remove this type of saved ite
