the article on the Phoenix Goddess Temple now calling themselves as Temple of One.

It begins:
Tracy Elise is preaching her gospel of transcendence through
pleasure to the Valley, which raises one big question: Can sex be a religion?

It used to be called Phoenix Goddess Temple but now has moved into a central Phoenix office building and going by the name Temple of One.

It is a very interesting article on the place, its founder and some of the goddesses.  It is not yet on newsstands or online but will be soon I am sure.

The cover is 50 Best Bars, which I thought would be good but then at the top it states:

EXCLUSIVE: Inside the Phoenix "Sex Church" p 112.

Read it.  They interview Tracy Elise, the founder, some of the gals, and even the cops who have been investigating them.

Keep checking the newsstands or online:

but for those who subscribe you should already have it.

Please excuse this long post.

The article portrays the ambiguity of what Tracy Elise and the other goddesses are trying to do. I have been reading about and practicing aspects of  yoga, Buddhism, meditation and tantra for over thirty-five years. Tantra is not just "sacred sexuality": it involves taking a perspective on life that attempts to make every act filled with the Divine Presence. Cooking a meal for friends, cleaning up garbage, prayer, healing sick people, and sex all can be sacred when the participants have a consciousness and an intention in their acts.

I have been to their Temple and had a long discussion with Tracy Elise about her philosophical approach to Tantra and those of the other goddesses. It is a very eclectic group, and each has her own blend from Buddhism, Hinduism, Sufism, and other religious traditions. There is a fundamental common thread of viewing each seeker as a wounded soul who needs healing. There is a strong intention to heal each seeker. Touch, intimacy and the release of energy from orgasm are part of that healing.

The cynics can say that this is all cr*p and a sham - it is just a cover for paid sex.

In my view there are providers on the PHXASP forum who are goddesses. Their sessions are a form of healing. They may not use the word "Tantra" or "seeker" and talk about Eastern mysticism. Yet some of the ladies here have an intention through touch and intimacy to promote health through the release of energy.

The biggest problem is that most men deny their own need for healing. They approach the interaction without the intention for it to be a spiritual as well as a physical experience.
