Another "bone" to pick with TER

It seems our beloved site has dropped the ball in another manner. I have been unable to use the full compliment of VIP features even though I am a paying VIP member.

I have notified whomever handles technical issues and have received, at most, single sentence replies. None of these replies has included something that even vaguely resembles an apology. I realize our beloved site is not the same as other cyber businesses. I am not foolish enough to even imply my $20/month subscription fee entitles me to dedicated 24 hr dedicated member service (not even service that has been outsourced to a firm in Bangalore or Mumbai).

Just what does our $20 get us? If the monthly fee is a donation to offset the expenses of running the site then simply call it so--that way at least I could write it off as a charitable donation. Seriously, numerous folks have expressed concern over a laundry list of recent issues such as: reviews being approved without a valid website; reviews including a valid website from an established agency and/or independent provider being denied because the review did not include a valid website; and the recent trend in ratings being adjusted at the whim of staff. I believe, myself and all of the other members that have been afflicted by TERs recent misgivings should at least receive some modicum of respect displayed in the response to our grievances.

Dare I reiterate the gist of a noteworthy assertion expressed in a recent post? Essentially, the post illuminated the fact that the members of this or any community are the most important asset to TER. This iste, as awesome as it has been at times, depends on the community at large to provide "intelligence" about our experience with various providers. I think someone forgot the notion of giving thanks when it is due....

just a few random thoughts and observations from my overactive mind....
