Anna, you got the injection?

The "little blue pills" have become ubiquitous in the brief cases, desk drawers and medicine cabinets of hobbyists.  I might go so far as to say that, without Pfizer Corp., business would be way down for many providers (so to speak.)

Today's paper now speaks of an equivalent for women:  The G-spot collagen injection.  I've pasted the article below, but your pollster wants to know a couple things:

1.  Do you think the availability of "automatic" pleasure and orgasm might lead to changes in women's sexual-social behavior.  In other words, might we see female hobbyists emerge from this new development?

2. Although many providers are already as orgasmic as they want to be, would any of the females on this board try it?  If it works, do you think it would make your job easier, and if so, might this development cause women who otherwise didn't enjoy sex as much to consider hobbying (as either clients or providers)?

Women now have a version of Viagra
May. 22, 2007 11:27 PM

Sometimes love lives need more than hand holding and Barry White music. Now women have a new option to help them in the bedroom.

Melissa Sherrill is getting a G-shot to increase her sexual pleasure.

"It's a form of human collagen we inject into the front wall of the vaginal tissues where the G-spot is," says Justin Salerno, M.D., Obstetrician Gynecologist.

After numbing her pleasure zone with local anesthesia, Dr. Salerno injects the collagen.

"It didn't hurt at all," says Sherrill.

The collagen is FDA approved to plump up lips, but this is an off label use.

"I've only offered this eight weeks but I've basically been unable to keep up with demand," says Dr. Salerno.

He says the shot is designed for women who already have a healthy sex life and want an even better one. This mother of three, who doesn't want her face shown, credits the g-shot with helping her reach orgasm faster.

"Way more quickly and multiple not just one or two but four or five which made it a lot better," she says with a laugh.

Licensed psychologist and sex therapist Dr. Brynah Barsky-Ex does not recommend the g-shot.

"I think getting addicted to the $1800 every four months just to be able to function sexually is problematic there are a lot of ways to get pleasure. And I really don't think you need a shot to be able to do it,” says the sex therapist.

And she's concerned about the lack of studies on possible long term side effects of the injection. But Dr. Salerno says it's safe and his patients are happy.

"Once you've had it this good, you don't want to go back," says an unidentified G-Shot client.

Melissa Sherrill looks forward to enjoying the same benefits.

"Better sex, better sex life with my partner the main thing is it gives me a boost of self esteem," says Sherrill.

Not all women experience a benefit, and the G-shot does come with some risks, including bleeding, infections and allergic reactions.

... they can!  It's just like this business - some charge more than others because some are willing to pay that amount.

Every guy who takes Viagra has probably read the warnings, which I've pasted below.  Have these warnings cut down on the use of blue pills?  I doubt it.  All other things being equal, I do think that those risks are outweighed by the benefits of being able to play, play longer, and get off more.

However, your points regarding the differences between men and women are, as always, right-on and well-taken.  For the record, I would like to apply for the job title "G-Spotter".  (And my manicure is impeccable.)  I'll bring the bottle of good lube if you'll bring the toys, and you can show me your definition of "extended play and experimentation."

POST-MARKETING EXPERIENCE:
Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular
Serious cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, and vascular events, including myocardial infarction,
sudden cardiac death, ventricular arrhythmia, cerebrovascular hemorrhage, transient ischemic
attack, hypertension, subarachnoid and intracerebral hemorrhages, and pulmonary hemorrhage have been reported post-marketing in temporal association with the use of VIAGRA. Most, but not all, of these patients had preexisting cardiovascular risk factors. Many of these events were reported to occur during or shortly after sexual activity, and a few were reported to occur shortly after the use of VIAGRA without sexual activity. Others were reported to have occurred hours to days after the use of VIAGRA and sexual activity. It is not possible to determine whether these events are related directly to VIAGRA, to sexual activity, to the patient’s underlying
cardiovascular disease, to a combination of these factors, or to other factors (see WARNINGS
for further important cardiovascular information).
Other events reported post-marketing to have been observed in temporal association with VIAGRA and not listed in the pre-marketing adverse reactions section above include:
Nervous: seizure and anxiety.
Urogenital: prolonged erection, priapism (see WARNINGS), and hematuria.
Special Senses: diplopia, temporary vision loss/decreased vision, ocular redness or bloodshot
appearance, ocular burning, ocular swelling/pressure, increased intraocular pressure, retinal vascular disease or bleeding, vitreous detachment/traction, paramacular edema and epistaxis.
Non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), a cause of decreased vision including
permanent loss of vision, has been reported rarely post-marketing in temporal association with
the use of phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors, including VIAGRA. Most, but not all, of these patients had underlying anatomic or vascular risk factors for developing NAION, including but not necessarily limited to: low cup to disc ratio (“crowded disc”), age over 50, diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, hyperlipidemia and smoking. It is not possible to
determine whether these events are related directly to the use of PDE5 inhibitors, to the patient’s underlying vascular risk factors or anatomical defects, to a combination of these factors, or to other factors.

I thought you were going to let me be the first to test your plumped up G-spot? Did you go to the office in LA? The one on Sunset and Doheny? How long does the effect last? Are you happy with the results?

Well, I was thinking that I should do it since there is nothing better than a real intense vaginal orgasm.

No, it didn't hurt (the tissue is so soft there)
Yes, it did work.
I have to go back every 3-4 months, if I want the same effect.
No side effects except for orgasms :)
I did it in LA (even though there is an office around the corner from me that does it, however they are relative new, and I wanted someone experienced)
I tested the results the next day, but I would say that it took me about 2 days...lol...to get excellent results. So I would say a gradual difference for me, maybe because it was just a new sensation.
No, there is no downtime at all. You can go home and have fun the same day if you want :)

xoxo

What ARE the long term effects?

For the most part, the Sheika is rather distrustful of physician and the pharmaceutical industry.

All too often, medications and procedures research the market place before the long term effects are known.  So, I think it is reasonable to want Doctors fooling around "down there" as little as possible.

If I have the time, I’ll research the literature and see if I can learn anything. If I find anything of note, I’ll get back to you…

Enjoy this great American holiday and enjoy your freedoms and never, ever, take these things for granted.

With that mighty democratic spirit of unity and freedom, support the working people of this great country and remember those who fought and died to insure our rights and freedoms.

And, never, ever, be intimidated by undeserved, unearned, power and wealth…

LOVE, PEACE AND PROSPERITY,

Sheika Fatima

P.S. Sorry if I waved the flag a little too much at the end of my post...
