Your upset with a perfectly valid post I made regarding your friend. Nothing there was "outside the lines"...you simply disagreed with it. Reading your post here again I see alot of personal attacks about what you consider appropriate or not...but the fact that you hide behind an alias indicates your teue motive. My comment about Asherah was not confrontational...the responses were.
What we see here is a bunch of playground bullies who are used to having they're way amd seem awful upset when someone stands up to them. So you hide behind your fake names and dish your dirt then come back and cry foul as you see fit.
Your right we shouldnt have to worry about bullies resticting freedom of expression....so pack it in and leave.
For what? Saying something mean about you?
If that is to happen then everyone needs to be moderated has said a disparaging word on this board. That would include you.

be moderated and or banned for their attack on the person of Presley. I repeat when Jordon was attacked for her looks this board was up in arms, interesting that the people who came out in support of her remain silent, makes one wonder which click is behind the recent alias's doing all the posting of late. Maybe we should ask for a meeting with MichaelCA and ask TER to get rid of Alias's and see who has the guts to attack then. What do do you think?
until they need to be moderated. Its tough to rebutt anyone's post when it takes 24 hrs to post if you are moderated...it doesn't make for an even playing field.
I vote for no more aliases.Loverboy do you have to keep using me as an example lol....gezzz
I myself get sick of the bashing and the cowards who hide behind the aliases.Let it end please Michael....

I missed the post about Jordan's looks. But I can't imagine anyone being disappointed. She is gorgeous, short or long hair. Hell, she'd be gorgeous without any hair. She is a classy woman, smart, and has personality plus. And all that is very sexy.
Have the balls to post under your own handle or don't post at all.
What's that ACDC song about BALLS?
If I were, any attack posts under an alias, and I'd out the author.
I have heard the reasons given for why there are aliases allowed, and I can see to some extent why it is accepted, but my attitude is along the lines of , "If you misuse the privilege of using and alias you lose the privilege, and will have your username attached to any and all posts you make with an alias on that post and all posts thereafter.", but that's just me.
im all for removal of alias's, ive never used one! If your going to say something that is unpopular then you should be ready to take the heat, any less is cowardice.
Lord knows I'm always ready to speak my mind and i dont need any anonymous shield to hide behind!
If you can't say it to there face don't say it.....
check again loverboy, its not me.
Who really cares who you are? No one. You post inflamatory remarks under an alias. That is pretty much a cowardly way of doing things. I only use an alias at this time because I am still waiting for TER to change my username to the new agency name but I will always post my name and how you can get a hold of me.
To bad you won't.

my statement was "if it was you I would out who you were". Its kind of you though to admit you are really Ms. Peanut a well know local provider.
This being the fifth, Where did I say that? A link here would be helpful.
I agree so many folks take pot shots using an alias. That is just plain chicken shit
Years ago, when I wrote the message board software that we use, it did not support aliases. We upgraded from a aftermarket message board software to this home grow version so people would have the same username and security on the review side and the message board side of TER.
It was YOU guys (not specifically YOU) that had an uprising like I have never seen before or after on the site. Hundreds of people threatened to leave if they could not have an alias (for their alias) on the message boards.
I wrote the ability to use aliases in the message board (against my will). You know what, ever since then all I have heard is complaints about abuses of aliases. What's a guy to do?? (Crying in the corner)

I appreciate the candid response, obviously it's the implementation not the availability that is at issue. I can understand the why some (many) feel uncomfortable stating what might be an unpopular opinion under there "real" name...the alias gives the anonimity that enables a freer exchange of varying opinions....unfortunately it seems to be utilized to magnifacture a false "groundswell" of opinion at times or to inflict malicious self serving gossip at times.
everyone is on the same playing level and can no longer hide when they want to flame or disparge someone.
and standing up to a clique that wants muzzle any dissenting opinions on this board?
According to TER, on the discussion boards: "Please don't post messages that are mean, use foul language, or that reveal sensitive information about other people."
Revealing a ladies age, talking about a hobbyist penile problems, and general disrespect of poviders and hobbiest falls under the "mean" and "sensative information" catagories.
I for one no longer read anything posted by AzHacker. Since TER will not control him, if we all ignore his posts, maybe he'll go away.
Talking about any aspect of a providers age appearence or performace is in no way a violation of the TOS of this BBS...in fact its the purpose of this BBS.
Now, your points regarding my response to northdak do have some merit. Since the "mini thread" was deleted I'm not going to revisit it in any aspect. However it was part of a pile on gangbang...and I responded accordingly.
I would not advocate a ban on anyone for what they have said or what they might say. But I too will choose not to read messages of those who have demonstrated by their previous posts a malicious and vindictive nature. Censorship by the individual consumer is the logical and prudent choice.
What nonsense, MichaelCA decides. It's his job and that's that. I appreciate that he has allowed many people to be unmoderated. That makes for some entertaining and significant real time exchanges and allows fair and equal input. The mini thread in a thread was removed. If moderation is placed it should be on all who were involved. I for one think Hacker is fine and does not need moderated
Yeah, he's irritated me a couple times, but damned if he doesn't contribute to the community as well.
There have been others that have irritated me as well (which I'll keep to myself), but every one of us has the right to post within the guidelines of TER to our hearts' content.
The day I endorse a gag order on ANYONE I disagree with, I might as well hang it up because my testicles will have shriveled and I'll no longer be able to look myself in the face.
I might as well ask the government to hand me food stamps and choose my leaders for me.
To put this in perspective, I don't like your suggestion, should I call to have YOU moderated?
of course I have. Hopefully never with malicious intent. You cant have a vibrant active community without significant variations in opinion.
9 times out of ten, if I'm irritated, it's an internal (to me) problem anyway ![]()
It is my understanding that the initial post here was precipitated by some earlier exchange of posts that were deleted by staff. In the absence of those posts, it is impossible to know what gave rise to this call and would make it appear that Northdak53's post was an unprovoked personal attack. I make no judgement in that regard as I did not see the preceeding series of posts that were dropped. This one should probably have been dropped by staff as well as it seemed connected to absolutely nothing. Way too much negativity on this board of late. Time for all to move on IMO.
Northdaks post is certainly NOT an unprovoked personal attack. He responded to an earlier thread of mine in a manner I did take as a personal attack. I'd made it clear within the same thread that I wasnt gonna back down. So he got both barrels...obviously they hit since he's somewhat tweaked
....
Again I have no axes to grind with anyone...including Northdak (or you Harry or the rest). And as I stated above I'll try and be more restrained in the future. However, if kicked...I bite...And I bite hard.
However this was not an unprovoked "attack" and it would be unfair not to acknowledge that. At the same time the original comment was also a cheapshot IMO.
Rono, we've been friends a long while, but your post suggesting AzHacker be moderated is about the dumbest post I've ever read! For what, voicing an opinion? Speaking the truth?
I rarely agree with stupid Muffyman, but I think even he has this one 100% correct--much too much negativity here these days, and I'll add there is a total lack of focus.
Can we not go back to what we all enjoy doing? And, can this board once again be used to foster good, insightful information for Hobbyists, as it once did?
I'd be naive to think we can eliminate self-promotion here, but at least we can try to eliminate mud-slinging and (hopefully) posts that are of absolutely no use.
And, how about some reviews from some of the "lurkers.?" Just my two cents.
And a HAPPY BIRTHDAY Wednesday to the Lovely Miss Calli! Enjoy the day!
Perhaps I should ask Hacker if I might borrow some of his rocks for the unprovoked personal attack here, but then again ........... that would be a waste of good rocks. Grow up Jeffrey and stop adding to the drama.
Jeff your call for less negativity is proceeded by a negative attack on both Northdak and Muffyman. It seems to me you don't lead by example, basically making your post less than useful.
Harry
post on the other thread....it was way overboard and demeaning. This was done in retaliation for pointing out that "Hacker appears to be the new D__or D_____?" If his post had been directed at you or a close friend, you would have been all over Hacker for his comments; but then he is a close friend of yours! I tried to post this part earlier..." I am Moderated" and for those that are, it makes it tough to reply in a timely manner against one sided posts by "UnModerated" posters.
But you waded into a gangbang you had no part of. You are well aware of the underlying threads and factions here and you chose to enter the fuss. Further I found your comment to be both overboard and demeaning to me.
I have absolutely no ax to grind with you. And you have every right to be both upset & angry. Had you slammed the opinion or the topic I'd have acted accordingly. You chose to slam me instead...and I fired back. Dont pick a fight if you cant take a bloody nose.
All that being said.......
TER rules clearly say people are not allowed to make mean or rude comments; AzHacker has crossed that line several times in the last week.
In fact lately Azhacker seems to be a Jekyll and Hyde character.
One minute he's friendly and nice, the next minute he beomes confrontational and goes out of his way to say negative, spiteful remarks about specific providers and hobbyists. He practically begs for a fight when people disagree with him.
He claims he's only stating his opinions, but there is a line between posting a civilized comment/opinion and making rude, below the belt comments.
One such comment made earlier today has thankfully been removed by the moderator.
Since you don't know day by day whether he's in a Jekyll or Hyde mood, if I were a moderator I'd put him on moderated status for awhile to keep an eye on his posts.
TER is a private message board. We shouldn't expect complete freedom of expression here. If someone steps out of line I see nothing wrong with placing a poster on moderated status for awhile.

saga go away...The last I saw they had an appolgy and an acceptance....You've made your point long ago, as with other making there point over and over everytime a new thread is started..it would be like me bringing all the negativity I received when I was trying to make a better cheap ass website...it's is so dam point less... By the way I've never seen that alias name appear since, I wonder who that CHICKEN SHIT was..(I have a idea cheap ass)
So that's my Rant but you know who I am too!!!!!!
LET'S BE HAPPY....TERRI
LET'S ALL MOVE ON AND BE HAPPY!!!!PLEASE
and malicious comments abour Presley I did not see you calling for that posters being moderated. are you claiming a double standard for alias's
If any poster has a trend of posting mean-spirited remarks, then, yes, that's against the TER rules and they should be moderated too--at least IMO.
I don't want to see TER degrade into Craig's List. Let's keep people civil and polite, even if it means occasional moderation to keep them in line.
First, you all sound like a bunch of kindergarden kids. Lol. "He said this, she said this, prove it...." Can't wa act like adults here? Just my opinion.
Second, arn't we all under aliases? My real name isn't Vampy, not even close. And I'm sure most, if not all people on here go by nicknames.
I just hope we can get over all this petty childs play & get back to the hobby at hand.
You all take care,
Vampy
There was a post a few weeks ago, one that I remember well but am too lazy at the moment to go find. That post listed a number of truths about our little board here. Two of those truths that I best recall are:
Just because you have an opinion, doesn't mean you need to state it. Excellent thoughts (IMO). When that raised blood-pressure we encounter when we read something that we disagree with, even to the depths of our very existence starts to overwhelm us and leads us to possibly make injudicious statements, we should all take a step back and think - do I really want to say that? We all need to be a little more restrained...(note: "you" in the above sentence is not "vampy" or any other individual).
The second thing from that post a few weeks ago was:
Mya Really digs Women!
