the wonderful ladies.  On my list to make sure I see is Chanel from Divas, Eve and Monica from TLC and Calli and Jacqui from Mystique and oh Tanya from Elite and and Heather.  God i need mucho denario.

...being an independent...have fun everyone.

Send a email to [email protected], everyone is invited. They can get you all the info you need to attend.

The agencies do not actually want independents here at this get-together. as such here is the info you need:

Manae, Its $75.00 for an independant to show, that figure was apparently come up with assuming that you'd be inviting clients and the $ is to cover the alcohol that you and your clients would be drinking. If you dont drink (like me) and dont want to invite anyone (like me) than its still $75.00 for what? WHO KNOWS! Don't put your cash in someone elses pocket unless you're going to invite a lot of your clients to attend (Dont know how many you can possibly have already here in Phoenix on day 3) and you plan on drinking like a fish to get your $$ worth.

think about this as you make your decision.  Five agencies have invited their entire client base to a event to say thank you for their business over the last year.  Not all the clients see every agency or for that matter every independent.  There are marketing opportunities at this event.  Five agencies dug into their pockets to pay for this event.  Tina's logic is I should come for free, not expose or say thank you to my clients by inviting them, but have the opportunity to meet all the clients of the five agencies.  Not a very smart logic in my opinion.  The mere fact she would not invite her clients to say thank you for your business in astounding to me.  Manae being new it is a prime opportunity for you to be introduced to the community that you will be serving.  Make your own decision but think about the logic.  Tina I love you much but you are dead wrong on your thinking of this event.  It is sad to me you don't realize this.  No one is making money if independents pay to attend this event.  Again, since you disagree with the event I suggest you put on a party for your clients and invite everyone to come for free as you suggest we do.  You pay the bill and we will all be there.  Duh!!! I don't know any independent that would do that and neither do you.  Tina, unfortunately it is your loss when it could be your gain.  The party will be a blast and everyone will have fun and enjoy themselves.  Thanks to all those that have replied and RSVP'D and remember it is not to late to still be invited.  Email your favorite agency or go direct to party central by emailing [email protected].  See everyone Tuesday night.

very very short sighted. Your biggest competition invites you to their thank you party and you whine about it....duh.

I dont see any agency or independant as "competition", they are all allies, we're in this world together. We depend on eachother, and we wouldn't make it as great as it is without one-another. Its a simple matter of value for dollar to me.

MY logic is wrong???  Ok… I don’t normally rant- but you’ve really rubbed me the wrong way this time. Seems to me that last response was a sales pitch. Who takes the time to pitch a sale to something that they will not get any gain from? I believe that you will gain something from me being there. Maybe its unity between agency and independent. Maybe it’s a better time had by all and a better feeling left with the gents and they feel better about spending money with the agencies. Regardless, I’m not asking to come for “free” as you stated, but I feel that $75.00 is steep when I won’t impose any expenses by attending.

I have referred business specifically to you Taylor- for the entire past year I have been in this business. On many many occasions, I have received emails from clients thanking me for the referral to your agency as they enjoyed themselves. I have forwarded these emails on to you- and you have recognized the fact that by referring you business, I make you money. I guess my referrals are of no value to you. As such I will not be referring any business to your agency from now on

As for myself choosing not to invite clients, I DO NOT KEEP RECORDS! I do not keep a database full of client info. I cannot invite these gents to your “thank you get together” or a get-together for independents either. I choose not to keep records. I am 100% discreet with my clientele. I have no names or email addresses to send invites to.

If you believe that “exposing” myself to the agency clientele will cost you business, I’m sorry to you. Most gents that frequent agencies stick with agencies. There are always the ones that do the indy thing too- in which case, by my mere appearance at the party – it probably wouldn’t change the fact that they were planning a visit with me anyway.

I don’t have anything against you, or agencies… but I don’t feel that my efforts have been recognized or rewarded by you. I am in no way trying to cause a separation or permanent bad blood between us, but I don’t feel as if we see eye to eye on this matter.

I hope everyone has a great time.

Forgive me for assuming that you were the "Party Director". The email for invitations to the party are clearly being directed to your domain. In light of this new information I retract the statements I have made in direct relation to Talor or ClubTLC.

Will the REAL Party Director please stand up!

geez, with the "average" fee at about $350 (yes it varies) how can you complain about a door fee? The real cost in hosting the event is in the time and effort it takes to put it togeather. You have a chance to meet and mingle & pick up a client or two...seems to be a pretty good bang for the buck to me...

But I can't make it. :(
(My 2 cents)

Yes, in my opinion $75 is too steep and I have stated my reasons for feeling this way.

For those counting pennies my hourly rate is a mere $250 per hour.

Since i like math some simple division (whew not even long division thank goodness)

75.00/250.00 is 30% of the quoted sum
75/350 is 21.43%  of the quoted sum

my cost which is all im concerned about! is 0/0 or 0 the best price of all. my thanks to all the agencies involved in tonights festivities....
