I've extracted this thread from the one that turned into a donnybrook a couple days ago, because it's a great topic for discussion.  Here's what was speculated:

According to the TER policies,  each review much mention that the provider "performed during the session" at least 3 of the "bonus" items (BBBJ, Greek, CIM, 2girl, French, 2guy) to be eligible for a 10 on performance.

Therefore, guys, if you think your lady was a 10 on performance by TER standards, it's not enough that she does those things for others, I think she has to do them for you, and your review has to say so!

Does that seem to fit with everyone's experience.  Do you think TER doing that is wrong?  I appreciated WebTerrorist's post (which also got lost among the flak) pointing out that this system could encourage providers to offer services with which they are not comfortable, and also that it's illogical to make "services offered" part of the performance score when you can separately sort providers by services offered.

So, the Gallop Pole for today is NOT whether you believe providers should or should not be rated, but rather, do you think the TER system is perfect, somewhat flawed, or in need of a major revision?

that forces a statistical bellshaped curve will be fair or accurate. That being said I think overall reviews are way to lienient and generous (especially here in PHX). The bottom line is that a "10" is also defined as a "once in a lifetme" experience....yet is seems to be a once a week experience for some. If you look across the boards nationally you'll see TER taking a more active approach toward rolling back reviews that dont meet the guidelines (which I agree with).

This is an expensive undertaking (as a hobby) and the review system (here or elsewhere) is still the best option for most of us to make quality choices. what your "being told" is you can either maintain some objectivity on your own...or have it enforced via an impartial 3rd party standard....

READ THE REVIEWS!!!  If you like the action descibed, go for it, it not, pass.

Personally, I am not into greek, can't imagine my taking part in a 2 guy - 1 gal situation, and can rarely afford to meet with 2 ladies.  If I went but the numbers alone, I would have missed many of the great ladies I have met.

I agree with Jazz. I could do without the numbers myself, the numbers mean little it, does not guarantee you are going to have the experience you want to have. The reviews could be better written, much more detail on the things that I think count. The ladies personality, was she friendly, treat you like a lost lover, warm, a smile that would melt your heart or cold, indifferent, too business like? Did the lady make you feel special or just one of the guys? Did she dress up for the occasion? Lace is always nice, but I also like the girl next door look, personally I don’t care what she wears as long as it comes off, slowly. How was her place, a quite romantic setting or a dump, soft music and candles or a mattress on the floor? A mattress on the floor takes me back, maybe to far back. How was the experience? Was it like Saturday night in Dodge City or a quite romantic setting for two? Was it like settling into a nice plush leather chair slowing sinking in enjoying the moment or were you ridden like Seattle Slew coming down the post with her whipping your ass all the way? This at least gives you an idea what to expect. I was ridden like Seattle Slew once, didn’t really care for the experience, maybe if she had gotten the whip out maybe that would have made a difference, who knows? Anyway a little more detail wouldn’t hurt, just a little more time and a little thought for a well written review. Of course that’s relative on ones view. I sure the ladies would like well written reviews.

still  some use.  There can be rating inflation, deflation, fake reviews,  deleted reviews etc. A rough screening tool but still a tool.  If one knows how to navigate, judge the reviews and the reviewer then the system does have use.  It can be misleading for those new to the system and is not the end all be all.  It is the devil we choose to dance with today!

the system is great...if you read the actual reviews, and then read the reviewers reviews of other women (does that make any sense?) Some folks don't give 10's - they give an 8's, it's consistency that matters for the ladies and the gentlemen. It amounts to a little homework, but a hell of a lot better than any other system out there.

knock scores down and let others slide through, this is happening in other cities.

I do find when a gent tells you about himself, the encounter is much more relaxed.
