A question on contact forms

I have always made initial contact with a provider over the phone, but I recently contacted a provider who requires initial contact be made through their Contact/Reservation form on their website.

I filled it out a few days ago and have not heard back. I completed it in full, with requested date/time, provider references, etc. and haven't heard back.

As a provider, how quickly do you typically respond to clients? I know there is a variance, but just looking for an average time frame.

Do you contact references before you reply and is that why it takes longer than I expected?

Sorry if this question is silly, but as I said, I have always called providers on the phone.

Thanks everyone.

I can't speak for all the ladies, but with the use of a smart phone I am pretty much able to answer  same day if not within a couple hours. However, for whatever reason, there are times I don't receive my "notification" email from my website in a timely manner. This email is what contains client information and requests. Even with that delay though I still respond within 24 hours. There may be a chance your email has been lost amongst others too. Never hurts to contact the person again just in case it was a tech issue!

Have fun & play safe :)

Thanks. Since I've never spoken or met with her before I was afraid of coming off as some sort of stalker by contacting her again.

after filling out their online form
send them an email stating . Hi i just filled out your form thank's

the reason for this is alot of email providers see these as potential spam and send it right to the spam folder.
I myself hadn't cleared my spam folder for a long time and found one from 6 months earlier.. ugh! lol

Does the contact for show the e-mail address it came from or none at all. I don't want a e-mail address out there that could have major repercussions if a e-mail came in with the address hotbabeforyou@gmail, in it, your cleared for a landing baby. Would not want to have to explain that one. I would need a box of trip bars to come up something.

What I receive is a site "notification" with a do not reply address from my website. HOWEVER, in the content of the notification email from my site is the clien'ts email address which I then click the link and reply to. That's kind of the whole idea of a contact form - two way communicatin ;)

So as suggested, you might want to have a hobby e-mail!

hobbying. Just did not know if the home address of the computer I was using shows the e-mail address the form was sent from. Usually I just give the information on a e-mail from my super secret account.
