My live-in girlfriend of three months told me that finances were tight and that I'd have to give up beer. About a week later I caught her spending $65 on make-up. I asked her why I had to give up things and she didn't. She told me the make-up was so that she could look pretty for me. I told her, that's what the beer was for.

That's funny.  But you are not the Lone Ranger.  We are all in this together.  Somehow I've been married 24 years - half my life.  Now I'm looking for my next adventure.  Third time a charm?

He's carrying a big brown bag.  He tells the native American driver where he's going.  The driver is curious and asks, "What's in the bag?"  The man says, "It's one of those 'Beers of the World' twelve-packs...I got it for my wife."

After a long pause, the driver says,

"Good trade."

Oh my God, that is totally hilarious!!! Make-up and beer, make-up and beer, is such a salient comment about contemporary Arizona. It is soooo symbolic. Why we ladies don’t use our wiley feminine ways to change things is a point to ponder.

Underneath the humor, isn't it blatantly obvious and unfortunate how money, money, money determines how we conduct our business and even our personal lives...

Shouldn't the way we live be determined by something akin to good character or virtue or ethics or spirit?

I believe the communists reviled our system and predicted the down fall of the middle class because our system was all about profit and money, money, money…

Now, come on, all you root’n, toot’n, citizens of this her old US of A. Are we gon’a prove the Ruskies and the Chi-coms correct. Let’s use that great old American know how and prove them wrong. Ain’t it time for the working girls (and guys) to unite?
