Hello all,

As long as events create change, the need to be prepared for change exists. I post this as a simple thoughts that people may want consider.

Providers and Clients:

Install a VPN to allow you to get access continued. Feel free share the following information. I use all Apple product. NORD VPN is super simple to use and cannot tell the difference in VPN or OUT of VPN, on any iOS I use. Yes it is not free. But works great and need for technical expertise very limited, and fast.

Providers, set up your mail lists. This simply the best way to survive during a blackout of information. If your site is pulled, if you cant advertise, that mail list can be difference of pay the bills or not. Be very careful that you make sure when you use a mail list that the receiver does not see everyones else on list address.

Clients, check each providers website NOW! If they have a mail list, if they have sufficient reviews and look professional, sign up NOW! I have a page on my website where you can subscribe to mine. If a provider does not have a signup page, then email her directly and ask if she has such a list and can you be added.

Finally if you find that even use a VPN you cannot access a provider website, let her know. Alert her so she can try find issue, fix issue or know that it no longer work.

Just a few general thoughts

Christine

I was not able to click on the link (taken to broken site) but when I entered URL in another browser I found it, just the same as before.

Thank you Christine for these tips and thoughts. Hang in there.

Please, everyone, keep trying to make connections directly with providers...especially if you can through the contact info on the website. It makes everyone a little more comfortable when there is direct communication.

You can segregate these communications through various means to protect yourselves.

Let's keep finding ways to connect and have fun.

Hola is a simple Chrome extension on a PC that is also easy to use - on it now.  odd I am often in Canada but now via VPN I just appear to be there.   I have defrosted back in Phoenix after extreme unseasonably cold with snow in Minneapolis for five days.

I just bought a 3yr plan for $99.  You can pick a country, and it routes the traffic through it.  It'll be interesting to see what all I can access since the Interwebs think I'm a Canadian, eh.

+1

Now set up with Nord ($99 for 3 years, great deal for secure browsing), chose a more neighborly country for hosting my ISP and can now access my amigas and amigos here on TER. My reviews are still there and viewable as long as you are looking via an ISP not showing as originating in the USA. Some providers are making the same changes and I see that a number of folks have gotten on board -- keep moving forward!

So far, so good -- only noticeable change in my web cruisin' is that my pandora playlist lags a bit -- guess those electrons are feeling the burn, hopping about internationally ;)

Now to figure out switter --
