By and large the "inside" bunch is pretty good group (on both sides). I dont agree with the current mode of operations but that doesnt mean I dont/wont acknowledge the people involved. Not a single one of the gals I've met thru the hobby qualifies as a "skank"...in fact many are among the brightest and most articulate women I've met.
I think the entire concept behind the various "factions" got twisted...so I took my ball and went home. However those "white knights" have done alot of good and helped alot of people. I know that every review I ever wrote stands on its own merits...and that most of the "skank mafia" simply isnt.
My issues are/were entirely based on the utilization of certain tactics in a way I dont think is a benifit to the "community" as a whole.
I said what I think and thats just what it is....one persons opinion. It's not an attack on the people involved or a villification of any specific individual or group....it is a strongly felt objection to specific actions. Dont try and make it more or less then that....
I gaurantee that the "skank mafia" is by and large comprised of people of "higher quality" then you are and your "opinion" (of people who I dont think you even know) seems pretty worthless...
If I'm a total ass, I'm the total ass that won't have to crawl back to his favorite girls asking if they still want to see me at full price (like you will). Me thinks that you will suffer the greater indignity.

Funny, I thought this whole website was "by the hobbyist for the hobbist" (I've actually read that on this website)...While I recognize that many ladies "pay to play" here, this forum really isn't "for" them. You've just gotten used to their being here. If I want to believe that a certain group of regular posters is a bunch of skanks, should I not be allowed to express that? You have the right not to believe that they are skanky (and to express that also).
The "skank mafia" I refer to is the group of girls who think they are (and act is if they are) the Phoenix scene's "leadership". I maintain that they are not. It's a very healthy market out there. So healthy that any efforts they make to "fix" things is going to fail miserably. In my view, a woman with 31 pages of reviews is no more a leader of this market than a girl who began just yesterday. The market does not NEED a leader.
I see the kissing of ass happening every day, and that is fine for you guys who wish to kiss it. I do not. But if I happen to criticize one of the girls whom you are currently infatuated with, well, I guess I have to say "too damn bad". Get over it.

What is “skank” or “a skank”?
Honestly, I have never come across the term before.
From the board’s reaction, I know it must be incredibly derogatory, but that is all I can deduce from its use. Does it have a counter part in Arabic? Is “skank” some kind of disgusting animal? What is it origin? Is its use only regional?
I don’t want to be an annoyance; but would someone please enlighten this frustrated lady?

Yesterday, I took the time to review ggl's contribution to the PHX community (50 board posts, 0 reviews).
Now I'm sure that you and every other hobbyist has benefited from his "I'm on my way to an incall, but what if she is a cop, I'm bailing" tactic.
We can all benefit from his perspective on providers - skanks, cheats, liars, untrustworthy, etc. I'm sure these words will help me in the future.
I'm also sure that the ladies have enjoyed, and welcomed his business advice.
