Sorry Macy, I don't think you need to use this kind of tactics to boost your review count.

A review is something you earn with your services, not something you exchange for discounts.

A valid and believable review is when client goes to see you, have a fantastic experience and he WANTS to share with others in the board.

His review is a true account of the encounter and his scores are UNBIASED.

Of course you are going to get a line of guys jumping to your offer, but they will be there for the discount not because they "always wanted to see you". They will come because is a bargain, pure & simple, not because of YOU.

I think this is highly unethical and what is good to have 20 more reviews if the scored will be inflated just because you are giving a huge discount? How credible these reviews will be?

A client should not be "forced" or "bribed" to write a review.

More than you want to get on the top TER list, please EARN IT with your honesty and great services.

When I reached my 300 reviews mark, I had a similar offer: a free session for the first 15  clients from each of my incall places.

But I had rules...they had to be one of the 300 guys I saw in the past and they could not write a review from our session because it was my "thank you" gift for their patronage over the years.

Please don't take my post as a flame towards you. Is just my personal opinion.

Maybe I'm wrong but, the way I read Macy's post is the discount applies only to the guys who posted her first 20 reviews. Sort of a 'back end' (that reminds me, how 'bout a CC appearance Macy?) appreciation along the lines of what you do betty.

But, my opinion on exchanging discounts or freebies for reviews still stand.

If she is doing for only to say thanks to her clients without asking for a review in return, is a nice gesture.

I was referring to the people who have already written reviews, when I started, in 2005. I didn't ASK for anything in return.

I deserve an apology, I think. You can always speak to me personally but in this case you misread or misunderstood what I said and it was, sort of, a flame, without founding.

Macy...I think your original post was very clear as to what your intent was ...a little thank-you gesture to the "founding members" of the MacyMadison" fan club!I understood the concept at first reading and don't really understand how Betty put that spin on it.By the way I think more providers should think in terms of cutting their regular (more than 6 visits,let's say)clientele an occasional break similar to this idea.Maybe a freebie once a year on or about their B-day!
