I imagine you'll have a car to get around and so I'll make a few suggestions for places to see or things to do. In Wilmington, you might search the internet for these:

World Cafe Live at The Queen

Delaware Spa Party

The link I list separately "visit wilmington de" will give you more ideas. Check out "Riverfront" on that site. Also "Wilmington & Western Railroad" which has a scenic ride on a train drawn by a steam locomotive. This site also lists restaurants and hotels.

If you like shopping, you might check out the Christiana Mall which is on the southwest side of Wilmington just of I-95.

Newark, which is southwest of Wilmington is a small college town. Their downtown area has a lot of very interesting restaurants, etc.

Philly is not that far away. There I usually enjoy visiting the Reading Terminal Market, as well as going to Macy's Department Store (formerly Wannamaker's) where the world's largest operational organ is played twice daily except Sundays. For info about the organ, search "Friends of the Wannamaker Organ."  You can park under the Macy's store, then easily walk to Reading Terminal Market from there. I took a visitor there early enough to listen the organ in the morning, then went to Reading Terminal Market where we had lunch, walked over to look at the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, then back to listen to the organ for the late afternoon playing.
