Does anyone know?
He is a "local" boy.
Is he dead?
Do you think he reads this board?

during the late 60's and early 70's lots of things happened... some good. some bad... some very bad.

I was witness to the burning of buildings, saw folks I respected subjected to humiliating treatment - and was called a radical by Nixon (and I was in the AF ROTC! wha???).

I have made peace with that era of american history.... and get a kick out of folks who weren't even born yet - commenting on it... most of us were conflicted about our feelings for how our government was operating...  radicals were oft cited as heros... they were not.  They simple lacked the ability to work within the system to change the direction.

and so I ask, why would you want to know...????

Oh, and he is not me! lol!  I am way much better lookin!

... it is as if he just disappeared into thin air. He is from Darby, PA, graduated from a Catholic high school in Delaware County. I am definitely not  lionizing the guy, and I agree with your sentiment about radicals.

I was perusing the FBI website, and clicked onto the "Fugitives Wanted for Domestic Terrorism", I never knew there was a local boy who has been on the lam for over 30 years. Who knows if he is still alive. Some think he was a government plant. I just think he was an idiot who found a way to live UTR for a long time. He probably found some fringe group that lives like gypsies ( think of the movie "Into the Wild". Remember the folks that the protagonist hooked up with a few times?)

Just thought I would pose the question to the board: perhaps someone has some insight;-)

and failed to lead constructive lives contributing to society, instead they retreated to and live in sheltered communities isolated from the norms of daily life... they became university professors....

And folks wonder why I have a bug up my ass about universities... I too was headed down that path, it took my DECADES of working hard at it to learn to live among civilized people... almost anyone who remains in academea becomes contaminated with their thought processes... almost like a virus...

As to DB... I like to think that he got out of that plane - with the money and made his way to Argentina...  and retired with lovely ladies surrounding himself....  but most likely he died.... and his remains are stuck in a tree... somewhere on a mountain in Oregon...

The passenger manifest had a passenger listed as a "D. Cooper". Never was a D.B. Cooper. That was a mistake made by one of the reporters covering the story, it stuck, and no one ever bothered to correct it. Old friend of mine, Scottie, was the Captain on that flight, and he showed me the manifest copy. He was a long time pilot for Northwest, died 3 years ago.
