Well do they really think that ALL 30,000 names ACTUALLY had appointments - and kept them? I mean, what if someone stumbled on EROS, Cityvibe, Backpage, TER, etc. ...like I did years ago when I just 'googled' "Escorts" one day when I was bored. What if someone was just "CURIOUS" as to how all this worked - this 'underground society'... And, in the comfort and security of their own home went through the process 'just to see' what it is all about and how it works. they went through all the steps but never actually followed through on an appointment.
Initially, as a lurker, that's what I did YEARS ago. Went through a sreening here or there, but maybe got cold feet and backed out. Eventually over a period of time I got more comfortable, a little more savy by reading the boards, and have had appointments (and I have reviews here to). In the years I have been hobbying, there have been times when I got screened and cleared, but in the end schedules changed abruptly, or car broke down or any NUMBER of reasons why an appointment wasn't kept. For example: I went through the screening process with DreamEscorts in Chambersburg because I had to go to Gettysburg on business for 3 days. I had scheduled for Penelope on my second night. However, business plans changed, meetings ended early the second day and I had to head home early and couldn't keep the appointment. Of course I had to cancel my appointment - I couldn't tell my wife I needed to stay the night anyway just so I could see Penelope !LOL!! So, I'm guessing my screening info is (or at least was) in their data base evn though I've never erver used them. Just because my (or anyone's) screeining info is in their data base doesn't necessarily mean a completed appt - UNLESS of course, the data base includes info on only completed appts. Then, everything I'm saying goes out the window. But, if screening info is kept for a period of time, for the possibility that you might reschedule at a later date... well, someone who was just curious could be 'wronged' by putting their name out there when they didn't even see an escort - and for curious Georg's maybe never had any intentions to see an escort?!?
so, can they release the names and be sure they are not hurting someone who never used the service? Well, yeah I guess - they can do wahtever they want I guess. But I'm also guessing they have to think twice about releasing that many names when their might be some on there that can legitimately claim, swear on the bible, take a lie detector test, etc that "I NEVER used that agency"
...just as a side note. I was screened by MC once quite some time ago for an appointment in Center City with Marina that I ultimately couldn't keep due to a last minute schedule change. AND, that was the only time, AAND I actually NEVER have used them...so....I can legitimately claim I've never used them - So, can I then sue for wrongful deformation of character?!?!?
...I don't know...
Anybody else want to chime in?
