I've spent years watching this site, reading posts and fantasizing about finally taking the plunge and meeting up with a provider. However, since I've never had a meeting, I obviously have no references to speak of. I was hoping the wonderful people of TER could maybe point me towards a provider that's experienced in dealing with newb like myself. What do you say guys?
Try joining datecheck or p411 or something to get at least verified, unless you are willing to release private info to a lady that may do something to it. Me personally, I will never give out any personal info about me. If a provider requires it, I put her on the DNS list and move on.
