A few weeks ago I signed up for a dangerous mission and tonight I embark on completing the task.  I go to explore the hills and valleys of Eve & Amanda.  Wht do I expect?...

I suspect that we will begin by warming up our engines and the countdown begins.  They will check all parts to make sure every thing is go for liftoff.  Their fluid levels will be checked using a dipstick and other methods.  Eventually there will be no turning back as the rocket is fully erect.  Liftoff will occur with a huge blast that almost drains the tank.

The mission should continue as various docking positions are tried to ensure a snug fit of the probe.  Profiency will be tested as I am blindfolded.  I must be able to feel my way around and know where I am connecting without the benefit of seeing the target.  This includes knowing the difference in their configuration and being able to figure out which is which.

Soon it will be time for final re-entry.  The rocket will fire one last time, emptying the tank, as we come back to earth.

Wish this all sounds dangerous, I have been assured by Eve that it is safe.

Wish me well.
