Manayunk is a neighborhood of Philadelphia known for its bars/clubs and restaurants favored by the younger crowd but there is no hobby action because there are no hotels.  

However, 15 minutes to the west are the hobby Meccas of King of Prussia (KOP) and Plymouth Meeting (PM) and 15 minutes to the east is Center City (CC) with its many hotels packed with professional pulchitrude.  

KOP has a reputation for an active LE presence. Do not see BP girls in KOP and you will much safer.  

And "Schuykill" is pronounced skew-kill, often with frustration during rush hours, or any time.
