Rates?

I was wondering when and if rates are going to come down given the economy. Are providers seeing "softness" in demand?

I remember when i started in the hobby about five years ago that $$.5 to $$$ was pretty standard at the upper end with $$$$ to $$$$$ for two hours. Seems like we ought to get back to that price level.

There are providers going back and forth between Philly and DC to keep the rates up. The market determines the rates. If you look at different sites you can get some deals. Top notch providers in the DC area are able to get better rates than in the Philly area.

With the budget cuts coming there will be many government contract workers looking for work. The dc area contractor bubble is about to be popped.

250-300 is cool.  Outside that I steer clear.  There is quality tail out there in that range, and just as many bad providers are in the higher range then in this so I stay in my comfort zone.

Also for reduced rate see your local amp.  160-200 tops and still great service.

It seems to me that ladies have not adjusted to the times. It is like the real estate market. Buyers are not in a mood to pay top dollar and sellers are still laboring under the delusion that it is still the good ol' times. When an average provider can ask $350 and not bat an eyelash, things are getting out of hand.

There are plenty of high quality independents that are $200 - $250 an hour. If you only look at eros-philly ads you won't find them.  There are other boards or use the sorting/search capability here on TER.

There are many high quality agency and indy girls in the $200-$250 range, but you won't find them in Eros-Philly.  Eros-Philly is not representative of the rate trend in Philly/SNJ.  It appears that Eros-Philly is filled with ads from visiting, TS and B&S providers, and only newbie or out-of-towners use Eros.  There are better resouces out there.

I'm not sure we are allowed to reference other boards, but if you are looking for the Best GFE experience, you might want to try googling 'Best GFE'.  Plus, use the review search feature here.

We have lowered our rates. We were originally $300/hr, went down to $250/hr and now are running an even lower discounted special of $225/hr.

We are doing our best to help everyone without bankrupting ourselves.

I hope this special has helped some.

Eric, you have to change the subject title as you don't agree with yourself, LOL

I do agree with Eric that there are many $200 to $250 providers around, but you have to be smarter to find them.  Eros is very regional.  It's important in DC, but not much use in Philly because few locals advertize there.

With economic downturn, there are more specials offered and more ladies coming out to provide.  So if you have the cash, it's time to take advantage of the availability and help the economy.  I am looking for great actions after the Thanksgiving week.

I am amazed at the ignorance of this thread and felt compelled to respond.

I must ask, have you taken a pay cut recently? I bet you haven't. So why should providers.

You obviously have no respect for providers to even start this thread.

I also feel compelled to respond.

The man asked an educated question.  It has nothing to do with him being a gentleman or not or if he received a pay cut or even if he has respect for providers.

To answer your question, my benefits are going to cost more next year and I lost a day of vacation due to "improved benefits management".  Bottom line, yes, I received a pay cut.  Does that entitle me to your blessing to ask about rates?

When you go into a store to buy something do you ask how much it is?  Do you ask for a sale?  I guess that means you have no "respect" for retail stores.

Today I went into the store and I saw a deal on a cheap turkey $7.95. There was a caveat, I had to spend X amount of dollars to get the Turkey at that price. I told the clerk to take it back. I did not like the fact the price reduction on sticker did not reflect what was required. I went to another store and paided for a higher quality turkey at a higher price.

The same lesson applies to the hobby. If you go down to much in price be careful with the games played for services you want.

Who says that higher price will  buy you better service.  Higher price will buy you better looking ladies, but not necessarily better service.

In this hobby, you never bargain for price, but shop for the best price.  A bargain service isn't the same service.  If the price is not right, move on and look for the next.
