I'll agree that there has been an unusually large amount of providers that have increased there rates in recent months. An odd trend seeing as the economy is as weak as it is. However I am not one of those girls, so I'm not really sure I like being lumped in that group. In fact lowered my 1 hour donation this time last year from 500 to 380(on average) in most cities. On my website I have New York still listed at 500 for the first hour and each additional hour at half of the original rate(=500-1hr, 750-2hrs, 1000-3hrs,etc..). And then I have the other cities I visit lumped together with the donation listed as a range (375 to 450 for the first hour). Though I prefer the idea of having one set donation regardless of location, I opted to vary my donation based on my expenses involved in visiting that city along with that cities market. But for most of the cities I currently visit my 1 hour donation is 380.
It's actually work out well. I've always preferred and primarily done multiple hour sessions. Since my multiple hour rates were already heavily discounted, I left them unchanged. And with most of my dates being extended sessions, lowering my single hour donation has had no real effect on my income. If anything, it gives me an opportunity to meet new people who might have been uncomfortable booking longer sessions for a first time meeting. ...so it's been a win/win so to speak

Unfortunately Eve it's not that simple. The economics of it forces many (not all) of us to make choices. And a 5 minute conversation on the phone or an email exchange will only make the decision more difficult. At this point, it's probably going to boil down to a coin toss.
By the way, I'm in Tampa next weekend
Too bad we are visiting at different times,...that could have been fun
