Probably not that often unless the provider is young, beautiful,
charming, from England and named Anne Yorke.Lol,sorry but can't ever let an opportunity to take a shot at the worlds least reliable provider.

Recently I contacted a well known local lady in order to spend some quality time.  I answered her questionaire and even mentioned that we had "talked" once before.  She replied to the email with her tel# and indicated that she "remembered me" and was very interested in a meeting, however, she asked if we could move the time up one hour in order for her to meet a committment she had at 3:30 later that day.  I jumped through the requisite hoops, re-arranged my calendar and got to the specified location where we were to meet on time and called.  Well, you guessed it, "Did we have a 1:30 appointment"?  Followed quickly by "My daughter's in the hospital..." further followed by "I tried to email you but the emails bounced back" (despite her previous success in this regard), and finally after realizing the logic (or lack therof) "My email account must not be working".  I haven't received any new email conveying her sorrow.  The piece that I didn't relate until now was that I had made an appointment with her 2+ years ago which I cancelled (in advance).  Until now I haven't heard a word that indicated that she was anything but reliable (although I note that she had herself de-listed), and in fact she offered to "make it up to me".  So here are the questions -

1 - Do you see alot of this sort of thing?  (I've only been stood up once before - by a notoriously untrustworthy lady, whose missed appointment changed my attitude about patronizing ladies with poor track records).
2 - Do you think it was intentional (get back for a previous cancellation)?  This one really bothers me, as I provided adequate notice of cancellation years before.
3 - OK here is perhaps the dumbest question - Should I give her another chance?

As I know that the lady in question still posts here, I wonder what you might have to say?

FYI..my daughter is STILL in the hospital, thanks anyway. As far as "Get back"?? I don't get that reference. My daughter is suffering from intestinal problems..as I told you. I NEED to be at the hospital DAILY...We apparently had a miscommunication issue, as I told you I had you down for a 12noon session. It was MY mistake not to add the notation that you'd be in a meeting and time would fluctuate. We spoke on the phone, yes, but at LEAST 10 days before.I emailed you 2x over the weekend, as I mentioned, and they bounced back to me. Its a common occurence lately, which will be corrected soon. As far as having myself de-listed here, I did that purposely as I was getting more email requests for sessions than I could accomodate. I have de-listed myself from ALL past places except for one. At this point, with all thats been going on here, its VERY difficult for me to accomodate more than 2-3 sessions a week. I cannot be in more than one place at a time...Sorry for your inconvenience, If you remember correctly, I offered you a 90 min session for an hour rate. At THIS point, my availability is even MORE limited, and it looks like last minute appts are the only way for me to go.

Rickie, think about how many business appointments you have been on and have had the people no-show.  Then consider all the stories you read on here about no-show.  There is a segment of the tootie population that is completely unreliable.  Take your punches and move on.

I don't know about this broad, but I've been encountering it too.  I set an appt with one agency two weeks ago and showed up for the 11am time.  Guy answers the phone and says he booked her with another guy because I didin't confirm.  Of course, I had confirmed with him 90 minutes earlier.  He then gave me a line that he wanted to call, but I didn't have a cell phone.  so, he's blaming me, hostile and all.  I nicely pointed that out and he came clean, saying someone wanted a multiple hour appt.

This is some guy.  I'm pissed, but don't let him know it.  He says do I wanna reschedule.  I say I can do 2:00 that day.  He says she's booked, but if I go for three or four hours,he'll bump someone else.  I couldn't believe my ears.  I politely declined and took my business elsewhere.

ALso recently, I was sched to see a provider.  Not 15 minutes before the session, I'm almost there, she calls and asks if I'd be a darling and switch times cause she has a multi hour offer.  Amazing.  I won't.

WHile I understand where they are coming from, its too close to the appt for that nonsense.

Between the rising prices and this crap, it's getting worse.  It seems like bait and switch and LE concerns should be enough.

MrDay,

I have a question that I'd like to pose to you in a more private venue.  Would you please email me at rick6531 @hotmail.com
