OK, OK, I know that many ladies do not hold business degrees, but really how do some survive?
Recently I sent the following message and received the attached - brief - reply.
Dear XXXXX I saw your advetisment on Eros and was unable to crossreference your tel# or e-mail address to any TER reviews. Are you reviewed? Is your service GFE? I would be interested in meeting during the afternoon, if you are available. Please advise.
Reply: No I don't believe I have any reviews..
Either this lady has way too much business as it is, or she's headed toward bankruptcy. Either way, with a response like that I won't be seeing her!
I guess I still get annoyed with un-reviewed ladies advertising and not willing to provide references. As a guess, what percentage of travelling eros-advertising ladies have poor performance records (less than six)?
A valid point you raise is that yes it is annoying to hobbyists that see an attractive bio and gallery to find out that the lady has no reviews which raises the question what must a good quality provider do in order to get her visitors broken of the keep her to myself habit and actually write a review of her services?
Is requesting a written review something that the hobbyists of Philadelphia are open to? Is it in poor taste or is it just good self promotion to point out hey I delivered as promised with a smile and am thrilled to see you again in the future tell a friend if you get time?
A marketing genius is able to tour with great success with or without reviews mainly because they understand the concept of customer service. Many providers and agents alike do end up bankrupt at the end of each week due to the fact that they simply don't understand basic marketing strategy.
I have personally found that being a good indy, in all aspects of customer service, including marketing (review updates etc.) phone, email, and screening, is virtually impossible without some sort of assistance.
When I was completely indy I spent 35 hours a week on the phone, answering email, and marketing. This is before even seeing anyone.
Only about 3-4 out of 10 phone calls are even viable options, and perhaps half of all emails received are even readable and/or respectable.
It is all too easy to get completely behind, short, or ambiguous in your responses, etc., especially if you are indy and have any sort of life.
Those who figure out a way to do it right are the successful ones, eventually, I suppose.
I agree with you to a point, Rick. I, personally, do not see ladies who are not well reviewed. It is out of my comfort zone. To tell the truth, this is more out of fear than any other reason.
This being the case, however, I have to believe that the ladies also have their own respective comfort zones as well. There is a fine line between "advertising and marketing" and offering oneself up for accidental discovery by family, friends, colleagues or LE. Some like to push it to (or over) that line, and some would prefer to play it safe well under the radar. While some might be completely clueless, I guess I'd like to think that many ladies consciously decide to sacrifice "market share" for additional piece of mind and security.
Anyway, like you, I probably wouldn't see this lady (for my stated reasons), but I also wouldn't read into the reply. Perhaps this is a part time thing for her, or she is already inundated with clients, or she has a good word of mouth system in place, or she is new and oblivious to TER or other review sites, etc...--what difference does it make to you? Just see someone else.
...and, believe it or not, they do not know what ter, or some of the other sites are. I've had a few conversations with providers who had no idea what the word, "hobby" meant.
I am certainly not defending this provider or her response & am glad that you're deciding not to see her...there are way too many fish in the sea!
Another thing--eros is full of bait & switch providers or total rip-offs. As a rule, I only see providers who have legitimate ter reviews, that's why I am a paid member here.
Actually, the ROB and bait & switch was what I was getting at along with just poor performers. While I don't question your initial comment regarding being aware of TER or reviews, I believe that the large majority of those who advertise on malls and who don't have reviews are those providers who have questionable professional histories. Naivete has little to do with it for the majority. Having run into a couple in the past, I refuse to see those that don't provide reviews. I was just wondering what the percentage of naive vs. manipulative was - Any thoughts?
