I also do not believe in providing a deposit to make an appointment (although I have done so once in the past).  The reason being is that there is a fair amount of late minute cancellation that goes on from both sides - it is common and a function of the nature of the business.  She should know this.  Her demand for a deposit now would seem to be a way of "validating" your sincerity, when all she would have to do is check your credentials with other ladies.  It would surely seem to me that if similar circumstances should occur again you would not see your deposit refunded, and therefore the reason why you should not provide a deposit now.

Just my .02

I had scheduled an appt with a travelling lady this morning and due to circumstances beyond my control, I was force to cancel.  I cancelled about 1.5 hrs before the appointment.  The lady responded right away to my email request and seemed to be very frustrated that I had cancelled.
She indicated at the time that from now on she would require a deposit.

Wanted to know what the guys think of giving a deposit and would it force you not to see a lady that you may have otherwise wanted to see.  Personally, I would never give a deposit. Too much of a chance that one, she may not be able to make the appointment and secondly, I may not be able to make the appointment.  I been stood up before by a provider and I've been force to cancel an appointment also.

I remember my first hobbying experience which was with the wonderful Ayana and she required a deposit.  I have had to give a deposit for traveling girls on more than one occassion.  It didn't really affect me one way or another.  I guess it's becasue i am an independent consultantand often require a deposit before i commit to a time frame myself.

It usually insures that they are serious before I invest my time or resorces.  Just a thought

I agree with you, and yes Ayana requires a $50 deposit for all her appts.

We have alot of guys that schedule appts and never show nor call. All the time, so when someone call and they want that particular time and then I have to tell them no it's not available, I miss out.

Hotels and trips that we make do cost allot as well as the ad on Eros or Cityvibe!!! You do have to understand that providers make the effort to see you by scheduling you for your desired time, therefore they will not see anyone else on or around that time. When you cancel an hour before you not only wasted a possibity for her to see someone else but also her precious time, and that time is $$. Hate to say it but it is true! :)

No way would I give a deposit,no matter who it is! Part of the business of being a provider is to have to deal with a lot of unpleasant situations, including cancellations.Chances are, since she's travelling, she's staying at a hotel downtown and providing incall. So it's not as if she was on route to you and wasting gasoline on you. Also, you did email her to explain instead of just standing her up and since you said that she responded right away, you gave her plenty of notice.Tell her to move on to the next city! This is why I usually avoid visiting ladies.Too often, they care very little about pleasing their clients while touring. They may see you again or they may not so who cares. On the other hand, when they're in the city they're based in,they tend to their clients better since they are their bread and butter clients.

I do not require deposits! I do tend to all of my clients needs. I do tour allot! I don't work in my city because that is where I live. I'm not sure what visiting lady you saw that gave you that impression, one lady does not make up for all of us. I see my regular clients and treat them good when do come back to any city I tour, which is very very frequent!

Just to show you, I have not been to Atlanta since  last month, Check my Calendar on my website! :)

Yes,I agree with you that all you ladies aren't the same. The wonderful lady that I see on a regular basis is touring herself this week and I know that she is as good to others as she is to me.I'm not including her in my anti-visitors statement nor am I including you.I see by your reviews that you take care of all your clients and that's good! I also wrote a recent review of a visitor that I saw here and among the statements I made were that if all visitors were like her {or you,or my steady lady} I would probably give up on the local girls.{except for my steady lady} Believe me,my first post in this thread was not directed towards you or any other quality lady out there.I'm sorry if you took it that way.

It's clear she does not normally require a
deposit but you flaked on her once.

If the lady cancels on you, she would refund your
deposit.

yes, but she could cancel and take the money and feel justified to do so, since the person already canceled on her once.  I don't think I'd take the chance, especially if she is traveling, because he might not see her again.

It depends on the provider.  A top-class travelling lady, who stays in a four-star hotel, incurs significant expenses between travel and hotel.  So, securing appointments is key for a trip to be worth her while, especially in the case of providers who don't see a high volume of clients--if she only sees a couple of people per day, a missed appointment is a big deal.  So, in that case, I don't see anything wrong with requesting a deposit to make sure that people are serious about the appointment, as I'm sure most providers get their fair share of e-mails and phone calls from people who are simply wasting their time, and most providers have probably had to deal with their fair share of no-shows at one time or another.  Furthermore, providers who require references often cannot make appointments at the last minute due to their screening process.

I understand your trepidation about providing a deposit, but I think it's reasonable.  After all, these women do have to make a living and, as long as it's reasonable and the provider is dependable, I don't see anything wrong with it.

I like same day appointments because once in a while I don't get any sleep or am not feeling good enough.  I can see how things are on their end though, especially if they're traveling.  If they are in their home area then it wouldn't be too much of a problem as long as you don't do it that often. $300 or so is a lot to put out if you aren't feeling up to it though.  I may post a separate question on this matter.  I think it would be nice if more ladies accepted same day appointments (especially if they are traveling and in a hotel room already).  That would solve a lot of the problem.

is that in the end there are no strings attached. So move on, forget her or if she is worth the price of admission, then pony up the cash.

She has every right to requre anything she wants. I would guess that the cancellation percentages are pretty high in the travelling game. I get that she has a certian view of people who don't keep appointments, cancelled in time or not. Again, if she is worth it, pay the deposit and make it great, or move on, there are plenty of amazing women to choose from.

Hey she could even ask for the whole fee up-front is she wanted to!

There was a lady in philly named Veronica Monroe. She required the full fee up-front, but her reviews were off the charts and she was almost always booked solid everywhere she went. I know I miss her.

So don't sweat it,

Veronica Monroe, are you sure she has retired?  I guess the below link is old?  Maybe she's UTR.

You do have to understand where she is coming from too. She had made the time to see you and anyone else from that point on that would call and want that particular time would not get, why? Because that time was made for you. It happens to us all the time a guy schedules an appt and cannot make or worse, does not even call. Because it happens all the time, we believe that maybe if we require a deposit it will secure our time together!

Was the lady with whom you made an appt well reviewed? Does she visit your city frequently? If so, I dont think for the sake of her reputation she would do something beyond belief such as run away with your money. We all have certain circamstances which sometimes prevent us from keeping an appt. Which, is understandble if you call or email, such as in your situation. I don't side with anyone, whether it is a provider or client.

When I make an appt to see my trainer or doctor, I follow through with it, unless something emergent came up, I'd call and explain the situation and reschedule for a later time.

good luck
